Dewalt and Milwaukee seem to be getting into the game…have Milwaukee mectic impact set I have been successfully abusing
Haven't done much with the Milwaukee hand tools yet., Anytime I've looked they have been pretty expensive for the most part.

I used to be a DeWalt power tool guy before they got sold to Stanley- back with it was NiMiH stuff. But once they sold out, the quality tanked. I tried out Ryobi for a bit, but it wasn't any better and ultimately switched over to Milwaukee and never looked back (which, ironically enough is owned by a Chinese company that also owns Ryobi, but what can you do).

Speaking of that I have an old Craftsman 1/2 impact NiMiH that rocks and now they make replacement batteries for them. I have an older Dewalt electric 1/2 that will just about take anything off lol.

Old skool Craftsman guy here but new hand tools are typically Wera. Cordless is all Milwaukee M18.

For home I have a collection of older Craftsman but for something to keep in the truck I picked up a cheap set on sale at Harbor Freight. If I were buying tools for regular use and was still shopping HF I'd opt for their Icon line but these are for avoiding being stranded due to having NO tools when something breaks and I'm out and about.

Mostly all craftsman sockets with some husky deep impact sockets and a mixture of different makes with specialty sockets, been using gear wrench ratchets for quite a few years now imo fairly similar to snap-on ratchets but a fraction of the cost

Nice ratchets are great to have. I wouldn't skimp out there. I have the highest end Gearwrench ratchets with extra teeth for excellent ratcheting performance.

Sockets, I just go for holiday specials. I have a giant tool cart with a full mix of different brands. Organization is key.

In general for tools, sockets, bit, wrenches, etc I have Craftsman, Milwaukee, Kobalt, Tekton, Gearwrench, Crescent, Husky etc.

For Power Tools Milwaukee are king, Ryobi (Owned by Milwaukee) are excellent for the money.

For home use, if you want to spend a little more, but not excessive, Gearwrench stuff is pretty good. If you're just putting together a tool roll to keep in the Bronco, HF, Tekton, etc would be good enough.

Tekton, HF Icon and Gearwrench seem like good options. Never liked anything Kobalt I’ve touched. North American Klutch brand Torx plus looks like what I want. Keep ‘em coming.

Hand tools - mostly craftsman, some Husky mixed in there, Neiko on the Torx Plus and some Tekton. Everytime I get a new tool I am forced to cleanup and reorganize my toolbox.
Cordless - Milwaukee M18
Air - Craftsman portable hot dog, and 60 Gal MAC in the garage, Aircat impact gun and air ratchet.
Onboard - I took advantage of the 25% coupon and got the Bronco tool rollup.

Just to replace my home set.

I have had poor luck with Milwaukee pliers and screwdrivers. The only Milwaukee hand tool I still have is wire stripper pliers, love the design but I am on my 3rd one( I keep snapping the pliers off pulling Romex out of a boxes). I also avoid Milwaukee bits like the plague.

Love my Milwaukee power tools!

This thread reminded me I broke my 1/2" snap on ratchet so I am stopping at harbor freight on the way home.

Most of my tools are old Sears Craftsman but when I need a replacement I generally go with HF Icon brand, it's there top of the line. HF is especially good for specialty tools you might not use very much, they generally are cheap but of course the quality isn't Snap-on but if you use them once in a blue moon good enough.

Speaking of bits. I did just pick up this Makita set. Looks nice anyways.

Another vote for Tekton and Harbor Freight. I've even used HF professionally for many years and most of it is pretty good if you don't abuse it. (That applies to non-power tools.)
