Found a nice set of SAE and Metric combo ratchet wrenches on clearance. Might return as reviews are mixed and found better quality for a good price.(Klein) However this kit is missing 16 and 18mm.
8-Piece Metric Wrench Set comes with 8, 10, 12, 13, 14, 15, 17, and 19mm.

Any 16-18mm on the Bronco you are aware of where a wrench is handy?

10, 13, & 15 are going to be your most frequent sizes needed. I too get frustrated with tool sellers on this issue. You will only discover a 16mm bolt when you need it,

I supplement SAE and Metric sets with missing sizes. I have used these missing sizes on Ford, GM, and Jeep on a number of occasions in past 30 years.

Agree with @Dusmw. 10, 13 & 15mm are the most common sizes. I'd also add 8mm and 19mm to that list, although to be honest the only 19mm that immediately comes to mind is the lug nuts, which you can't really get at with a wrench anyway.

But yeah, you don't really need any SAE sizes. To my knowledge the only SAE sized bolt on the Bronco is the spark plugs, which... again... not something you can get at with a wrench.

Thanks all. My OP may have been a little confusing looking at it. Has anyone ran across a 16 or 18
Ford Bronco Wrench set sizes imag
on the Bronco? If even one, then I’ll just keep the set I bought on clearance. Kobalt $59.00. The Klein set is also 1/2 price, better tools. Except missing 16&18.

I'm certain that the suspension uses 18mm in spots.

Personally I'd still buy one of the sets. I'd be surprised to see 16mm be used.

Yup. 18 somewhere in there but can’t recall exactly where, and 21 for the sway bar if you have the stock one

Thanks. Will keep the metric Kobalts for the kit.

Ford loves to use 18, you're going to want it.

16 mm (=0.6299 inches) is just 0.005 inch larger than a 5/8 SAE wrench (=0.625 in). You can probably get away with a 5/8 SAE wrench most of the time. The gap tolerance between a bolt/nut versus the wrench is 0.006 to 0.012 inches. So, within spec.

18 mm (=0.7087 inch) is larger than 11/16 SAE wrench (= 0.6875 in, or 0.0212 in. larger) and smaller than a 3/4 SAE wrench (=0.7500 in, or 0.0413 in. smaller). Since you don't want to be rounding bolts and nuts when undoing a torqued connection, I would definitely include the 18mm wrench.

Likewise, a 8mm and 5/16, 11mm and 7/16, 19mm and 3/4 are generally interchangeable.

Don't forget, Lowe's (Home Depot, too) gives a 10% discount to vets, but you have to show your VA benefits card and register. Then you just put your phone number in at checkout.
