Old timer here. Got in Bronco today at home without my phone. After start up there is a phone conversation going on over the system and Some strangers name pops up. I can only hear his side of the conversation. Tried a couple buttons but did not stop it. Drove away and must have gotten out of range and it stopped. Got back home and it connected to a new conversation same guy. The person was saying hello, hello. I did not respond. pushed Audio and went away. Then rings and I get this guys conversation again. I did not push answer. Is there a way to block this from happing. Do they have access to my Bronco and just don't know it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hmmm. Something is strange here. It should not work that way. I have never heard of a phone accidentally pairing to a vehicle.

assuming something is not COMPLETELY haywire with your bluetooth - can you list bluetooth connections on the Bronco and see if there are any you do not recognize? Then delete?

From your description what happened was you got in range of somebody’s phone and their phone switched to a bluetooth connection on your Bronco. The person you were hearing was the person they were talking to, not the phone owner that is close to you. Basically, your Bronco took over acting as the phone’s speakers/microphone.

But this cannot happen unless the phone and the Bronco are paired with each other. Which is a procedure that must be performed manually. It’s not automatic. Hence my suggestion to list bluetooth pairings on your Bronco and delete any you do not recognize. Then try to figure out how it got paired in the first place.

If you’re hearing their conversation while not showing any Bluetooth connections - that’s a take it to the dealer problem. Because that’s “impossible” if the technology is working as designed.

thanks for the reply. The wife is working from home this week. I asked her if she works with the person that was showing up on my phone. She is like ya we were in a conversation and it just hung up. So problem solved. Some good range she was two stories up and a good 550 feet from Bronco.

This happens.

I was in the garage and connected to my wife's call with a friend.

Thought it was a really boring podcast until I heard her say, hello?? and my wife's name.
