Honestly mine had wear like that taking it off the lot and @Ford Motor Company did nothing about it.

I have the exact same thing worn right over the hinge on my 2021.

They issued a memo to dealers about this. The language is pretty clear. I give Ford the benefit of the doubt most of the time but I admit that it was disheartening reading their technicalities for warranty coverage.

I would imagine this will be at the bottom of Ford's "to do" list until the UAW strike is over. Even then it will still be toward the bottom.
