I did a search but couldn't find any mentions of this specific issue, but I was wondering if anyone else had this issue. Being in Southern California, I flip the soft top up and down quite a bit. I'm not sure what caused it. Is this easy to fix? Could it be covered under the warranty? I haven't taken it in to be serviced yet.

Was this covered under warranty? It looks like I have the same issue…

The service guy at my dealership took pictures and sent them in to Ford to see if it could be covered under warranty. He called back few days later and left a voicemail. He said that they decided it wasn't covered because it was "due to damage by an outside force." Then he said that he could order a new soft top for me. A new soft top?! Seems kind of extreme (and expensive) for a little rip. I'm looking around now to see if there is a shop that repairs convertible tops that can stitch it for me.

Whatever became of this? Did you have it repaired? Do you have photo of the other side? Mine is starting to poke thru on passenger side

Mine was right at the front passenger side corner. I stitched it up with some needle/thread and put some black RTV silicone over the stitches. It is hidden behind the top of the window frame corner mostly and you can't really tell.
