My cluster is showing 45-47 PSI for all tires. I’ve seen as low as 43-44 depending on the temp. Owned for 6 months with 2k miles. Have not touched the tires so likely came this way from dealer if not slightly higher.

This is clearly overinflated but not sure is it makes a difference. Anyone else in this boat? Should I bother leaking out some air or will it have little to no effect on ride quality/mpg? I’ve always run tires a couple PSI higher so prevent any future forgetfulness. But not sure if the dealer overinflated too much to the point I should take action and lower it

The door says 39 psi cold so I would lower it. I personally have mine at 37 just to soften the ride slightly

I'm at 35 and it still seems too high for the rear. Unless you're hypermiling, anything over 40 is excessive.

I ran the same size tires on my 87 Bronco (5500# with gear and armor) and was happy with 32 PSI. I think the 39 PSI recommendation is more for fuel economy and CAFE standards than because the truck needs it.

All new vehicles are overinflated at the factory to prevent flat spots during the lengthy shipping process. Your dealer should have lowered the pressure during the Pre-Delivery Inspection.

Mine sit at 33-34 psi cold and then can get up to as high as 38 but usually warm up to about 36-37 psi.

2.3L, 10spd - getting 18.5mpg

Somewhere between 32psi - 36psi is usually the sweet spot for 33's and 35's, and that's warm, not cold. 39psi is meant to eek out the best mpg performance numbers, not the most comfortable ride.

Either go by the door sticker or better yet, do the chalk test for better wear accuracy.

The door panel sticker recommends 39. Which may still be too high. But when they warm up they’ll certainly add 2-3 psi. I recently went off road and had aired down, when I aired back up I stayed at about 38-39 all the way around. Even the king trip in the highway they still showed 42ish.

I just lowered my PSI to 35 and the ride and handling feels better. BTW, the tire pressure on the tire itself says 35 :D
