Got my paint scheme laid out on AI (this is actually the pink Desert Rising truck attempted to be antimatter blue). Will keep you guys posted.
it’s spendy but so is all OEM stuff. If you’re in a little fender bender, shop quotes for an OEM OBX or Wildtrak grille are like $865. Plus $115 for...
You guys are right. This is the best setup. Not sure how body shop will feel about taping off the edges so I ran it both ways with the whole outer sections blue. The quote was basically to paint a replacement OBX grille black. Either one is an upgrade.
That was my initial thought. But then I realized it’s really the black grille that is the tell that the body paint is actually blue not black. I like the subtle pop of gloss black adjacent to the AMB paint. Like the black upper trim on the grille against the blue hood looks really money. Need...
Good points on Fraptor. I may go with the new modular grille that just came out from ford. The paint work and cost are basically inline with my auto body quote to buy a new OBX grille and paint (someone hit me and paying out of pocket).
thoughts? Using AI. Trying to do a combo of gloss black...
Considering a raptor grille painted gloss black. Or maybe this new modular grille that came out for different paints. The auto body will already be mixing me antimatter blue and black. Thoughts? ChatGPT didn’t do the best job here..
I’m seeing that now. Just pulled up a stock one. I guess it’s really the forescan code that’s needed. Probably a hack too for guys looking for used OEM Raptor lights in ebay
Either this ballast/adapter piece sets it apart from the bricking issues ppl have on a straight raptor swap. Or this…likely this. I question if maybe this coding fixes issues on a straight raptor swap too. But also worried that even with these if you have a software update your headlights are...
I heard a lot of those aftermarket headlights crap out after a couple years. Some ppl switched from the better XBRG to simpler XB after multiple returns but those don’t have the nice halo design.
Ford performance recently came out with this. I’m worried about it bricking after certain software upgrades (similar to what others have experienced when simply swapping in raptor units). Although this one may be different? It also comes with some type of secondary adapter/ballast...
I was in a slight corner fender bender and using the opportunity to get an alternative grille and maybe Morimoto xrgb headlights for an amber look. I’m seeing the OEM OBX grille may not even come painted?? I don’t think my body shop even has that factored into the quote. I think the Wildtrak...
Seeing this thread now. I was about to look into getting this done ASAP but for the 4 door is the trim really matte/dull in the front next to the rear glossy trim!? Idk what’s worse.
Not sure if I’d rather keep the shakey windows vs haggling with dealers until I get someone okay with doing the...
The Bronco has already exceeded its bandwidth on upper trim levels when you consider its shortcomings on build quality. The windows still violently rattle and need to be reset constantly, the doors are finicky to close 100% of the way, and there’s all the other misc rattles and creeks. I already...
Yup. That’s the thing. Don’t totally miss it. But knowing something isn’t working when it’s supposed to just has me trying to figure it out, especially when I’m footing the bill for the extended warranty.
I saw another thread where that user said it works intermittently but honestly, I can’t recall the last time mine worked. Maybe it’s been half a year? It’s simply grayed out on the screen. Battery voltage okay in mid 14 level. But only drive it Friday-Sundays and it’s mostly short trips around...
This worked for me! Thanks. My interior lights weren’t turning on when opening door with engine off. Then I saw the battery save message. The above worked in fixing it.
My rear driver window won’t index down when closing maybe half the time. It will awkwardly close with the top of the window outside the seal. And I need to always check it. I’m well aware of how to reset the window and do it often but it only works for a couple days until I need to reset it...
Haha. It was certainly memorable as it was the dead of Covid with people cooped up and obsessing over the roll out. Any other year and it would have been much less memorable. At least for me.
