but they do NOT have the magical physics defying square cross-section. Only the best for me. I am starting to think $400 is a bargain for defying physics.
Now I’m regretting these stupid circular tierods

Ok. Just got off the phone with Ride. They will be delivered by Tuesday August 6th.
Apparently something wasn't right with the rear shocks and they had to be redone. I would rather have to wait than get defective shocks so at least their quality control is good.

:ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO: I can remember in the early days RPG was one of the first to offer a replacement tie rod. But it was only the outer. I brought to their attention that it was the inner that was breaking. They said well that was what they sold for the Raptors and customers were happy. 🤪 Now they call just the outer a 1/2 kit. and what you have they termed as the full kit.

I would have issues with the full kit as well but seeing how 74Weld made a double shear all is good. Fabtech tried that early on as well and without the double shear it just bends the heim when you push it to the limit.

Yeah if we didn’t have the billet steering rack and double shear then it would just be the factory 3.0 FP tierods and spare inners.

Gotcha! I see what you mean.

I wonder what size tire/situation bent that?

Matt

Yes, that style. Without an upper bracket to support the upper stem of the heim it will bend with being supported, like this.............

.............................I've seen it happen.

I have those brackets. I don't need them as the portals come with their own double shear brackets. If someone needs them you can have them (I don't know if they will work with any other tierod or not). Just pay shipping and they're yours.

The cool thing about these shocks is the red anodized aluminum which is the quickest to fade and turns to pink.
Probably in a year or so I'm gonna have pink shocks.
Cool beans! Would it match this shell pink bass of mine?

Of course, finding that video now has proven to be a bit of a challenge, I thought we had it posted here on B6G but have not found it, yet. Tried YT but could only find Tylers Bronc (broncbuster) with the heim style tie rods in single shear. Not Fabtech but same general design.

Now this shows him on M/T 40's but I've seen him on smaller tires bend it as well. Back then he was trying everything out there but always had issues. Once you make it double shear no more bending, but he chose to make his billet block for the OEM tie rods.

On a side note, which I'm sure you know by now seeing how you have made lift kits for Broncos, the gurus at Ford seemed to have made the UCA mounts single shear for some odd reason. I say that because my 08 F150's UCA is double shear. Seems we have gone backwards with the Bronco. Big tires/portals/heavy use will eventually lead to failure.

Funny thing about the single shear UCA mounts is that Braptors are double shear. Ford needed to save that extra $12/unit on the “less serious” buyers

Braptor has a transmission skid as well, to protect that plastic trans pan, but not for the less serious buyers. :cautious:
