Hello all. I saw there was already a thread on the forum about this from a few years ago however it looked like no one ever mentioned a cause or potential fix for the problem.

I have a '25 Base w/ soft top and a couple of days ago I randomly noticed wind noise that seems to be coming from right above the rear passenger door/window. It only seems to be there when going over 40 MPH. I believe this is new but don't know for 100% certainty as I typically drive with very loud music. At first I thought the window needed to be reset but when looking at it, it seems that it closes all the way. I did the window reset anyway to see if that would fix it and it is till there. I have checked all the rubber seals and uninstalled/reinstalled the side and rear soft top windows to no avail.

Has anyone who has experienced this ever figured out what the cause is? If so, has anyone had any luck fixing the issue? To be honest, since it's a noisy soft top anyways I'm not too worried about it just was wondering if it is something that is easy to fix or not.

P.S I would post pictures but my Bronco is currently getting a creaky steering wheel checked out at the dealership....

Hm that's odd... I figured it was a soft top related issue but after doing more digging this morning it seems that hard top folks also experience this. Makes no sense.

I have a 2025 OBX with the hard top and am experiencing the same thing. Really loud wind noise at the rear passenger window at higher speeds. Mine gets really bad around 55mph. I took it to my dealer and they replaced the seal around the door/window. It changed the sound of the wind noise but did not go away. Im taking it in for a seat rattle and paint chips later this week and intend to ask them to look at it again. I know I did not have that sound when I bought it in March.

I figure it’s got to be a little whirlwind created by the window trim or something. Probably happening on both sides but it’s more noticeable to the right ear because of the location? Hoping someone knows better than me. 🤞🏼

Well please report back if they figure anything out! Like I said I have the soft top anyways so I'm not too worried about it but would like to at least know why it started.

Could be this as well just odd that it wasn't always there. I'll check my seals and stuff and see what they look like. I was planning on lubing them up soon anyways.

Had the same issue. Used a silicone polish spray on the seals and then adjusted the windows themselves. It’s not 100% gone but it’s significantly better. My hardtop itself was squeaking pretty bad too where the large middle piece meets the rear piece. That silicone polish fixed that completely after a couple treatments.

Just throwing this out there. Could it be related to the antenna on the passenger side? That seems like the main asymmetry. Maybe a wind turbulence thing? And now that I think about it, the position of the wipers at rest could affect airflow around the truck at speed, as well.

Interesting thank you for sharing. I plan on lubricating all the rubber seals around the truck soon so maybe that will help a little. Should help with the other rattles and creaks as well!

I thought about this too but figured it wouldn't be in such a specific spot every single time but who knows.

Not the ONLY asymmetry... Have you looked at the Passenger Mirror? It looks like someone took a bite out of the left top corner.

On a separate note...
Have you tried the adjustment through the bottom of the door? Leaning the window back toward the Vehicle, may press it in enough to alleviate the air noise.

I am also experiencing wind noise above 40 MPH and gave up on that a long time ago even though I have only 2 doors. I blame the roof, roof rack and just about anything else. My fix? Crack open the passenger window and feel comforted that it was something I did on purpose, rather than a mystery to be solved. lol

Something I'll definitely look at! And I'm on the same time as you as far as knowing it's a noisy vehicle wether I fix this or not. 🤷🏻‍♂️ Although I'm still in warranty idek if I would bother having my dealership look at it..

Notice the spiral wire wrapped around the antenna? That's to prevent wind from making the antenna vibrate. You shouldn't hear noise from it though.

The right mirror is different sized because of the right A pillar. The difference is functional, not cosmetic.
