I have a jack towards the rear of the body in front of the wheel well and one under the axel. I'm trying to put in the Eibachs 2.0 and the bottom mount isn't even close to the bottom of the coilovers with the top 3 bolts slightly threaded. What am I doing wrong?

Nevermind. I've been at this for 3 days and had too much caffeine so I'm an idiot.

I'm going to take a wild guess and assume you realized you needed to compress the coil spring? 😁

Compressing the spring isn’t necessary you just have to be able to drop the axle lower. The truck should be on stands high enough that you can lower the axle with the floor jack far enough that the holes will lineup. The axle will go low enough without compressing the springs.

True, I guess when I did mine by compressing the spring I put a jack under the shock to get it up to where it needed to be. I will admit, I glanced past the jack stand he had sitting under his axle.

The way you did it works also just a lil more difficult to get it aligned.

Tall jack stands for vehicles with significant ground clearance.

Chock front tires
Loosen rear lug nuts
Jack up rear until the tire leaves the earth
Place big jack stands on both sides
Remove lug nuts
Remove both rear wheels
Place jack under the pumpkin for support and prepare to lower it as you remove rear shocks
Lower it enough to install new shocks
Install new rear coilovers
Raise/lower pumpkin to align bolts
Put wheels back on if you can...
...if not, you need to jack up the rear higher than you thought

Done...ish?

I don't think I could have made it more difficult last night. I spent about an hour trying to find one of the donuts that fell off the bottom of the coilover.

Thanks guys I got it done and I didn't die so that's a win.

Jack stand on the frame. Jack under the axle so you can raise or lower it to where you need it. If you don't have enough droop on one side, raise the axle on the other side.
