Fox 2.5 elite coilovers Spanner wrench question

To those of you that have the 2.5 elite coilovers on your Broncos have you had any success on finding the correct Spanner wrench. I purchased a 2.5 preload wrench does not fit flush then bought the 3.0 sits flush but pin in wrench is to big for whole on preload adjuster then bought 398-00-370 Spanner wrench that Fox said was just for those coilovers and of course does not fit flush. Fox needs to educate there sales and tech as they have no clue. i did buy the 8” punches at Harbor Freight and one works perfect it’s just i would like the correct wrench. Here are picks of the 2.5” preload wrench and 398-00-370 wrench now I know I could probably grind the 2.5 to work but come on. Thanks for any help

The pin is not the problem in fits in the hole just won’t go in all the way because of the arch of the wrench not sitting flush with the adjusting collar. I think what bothers me the most is Fox can’t throw in an a wrench that cost under a $100 with coilovers costing around $5k

I can see the arch is wrong, that is why the Boss4x4 one works well by using the pin on the end so the arch isn't an issue. Not knowing how hard your collars are to turn might be an issue, but with the 4WP/ProComps, lifting the truck by the frame makes it easy to turn the collars.

I bought this set which will work and they are 8” long and it is the 5/16 one. I would just like to have a wrench that fits hole and arch of the adjuster. They have to make one that fits what’s weird is I talked to a guy at Accutune and he said his 2.5 preload wrench fit perfect and the Backup one fit like my Preload.

I got this 5/16 punch on Amazon. I adjusted on vehicle. Buy some dry ptfe lube to apply to threads. Make sure you adjust on jack with no load. I lifted entire front vs one side at a time. You can only back off 6-8 turns. If you go more the collar will hit the metal hose fittings. Which is not a good thing. Make sure to leave 2mm gap. I got about a negative (nose lose rake of .5-.75) at 8 turns offload (counter clockwise). If you have a spring compressor you can do off vehicle.

Just went through this same thing with a Fox HTO 2.5. Fox tech support is clueless.
just glad I found out before I pulled the struts!

That’s odd. I bought the same one and it does not work. Called Fox and they said they to take the pin from the 2.5 and put it in the 3.0. But it needs to be pressed in

I posted above a set of punches from harbor freight that someone told me about for only $10 and i thinks its the 5/16 one works perfect. I adjusted the coilovers a few times with it.

So the Moroso is much smaller than the Fox. Wondering how hard the collar is when they are on the Bronco and would it be enough?
It does fit a lot better than the fox!
