Rear area Rattle/Squeak

I have a 24 Bronco Raptor that has developed an annoying rattle or squeak from what sounds like the rear cargo area. It almost sounds like seat vinyl or leather rubbing together when you reach certain speeds on different types of pavement. I’ve shaken things around trying to reproduce but can’t. I removed the entire right rear quarter trim around the subwoofer, but still the same. Any ideas?

Some people have traced it back to the window/swing gate seal. Try some silicone spray on that seal and see if it makes a difference.

Also, check your suspension. If you're not finding it by moving stuff around, it may not squeak unless the force of a multi-ton vehicle acts on it.

I had this same issue i used silicone grease and put it around all the seals on the real tailgate door and glass as well and it took care of the sound

I had to rip out the back panel and tighten the subwoofer bolts to the bronco. But clips snapped, so I bolt and nutted that bitch.

+1 for the window seal in the back but I got fed up with the grease and installed a thin weather strip you usually put on doors or windows on the top of the tailgate. Completely fixed the squeak for me

open up your tailgate and window. Theres rubber seals all around the edge of the cargo area, and a strip across the edge of the glass.

Hit those with silicone grease (I use Sil-Glyde) and theres a 90% chance the squeaking will be gone. Thats what solved it for me...

Put the rear window up and take a little drive over pavement that generates the squeak. If it stops, lube that seal with a silicone lube. I used Sil-Glyd I got off Amazon, but there are other products. You only need VERY LITTLE lube, or it will become a dirt/dust/fur magnet.

I want to try putting a small strip of Teflon tape on the tail gate as a more permanent, less dirt attracting alternative.
