You get used to the look. And you love it.
Nope. Ugly stays ugly. I get loving the experience of driving it, but that doesn’t make it any more attractive. We do spend more time on the inside of our vehicles than the outside however, so maybe it matters not.

Take a corner fast. That wide track is amazing. I can take curves faster than some of my performance cars

Plus it’s got a nice soft ride overall. I love the way it rides

now that the fenders are painted it looks much better

Here we go again. You would let fender flares keep you from buying the best Bronco trim by far? If your wife had big ears would you divorce her. Silly. Get the Braptor and you will not be sorry.
1. If my wife had big ears I wouldn’t have married her, I’d have selected the more refined model.

2. The square fenders were part of the reason I selected the best bronco trim, the Everglades!

I had a Raptor and while I loved it the vehicle drove too large for how otherwise small the body is. I feel like the Raptor we have should have been what the Raptor R could be and we should have gotten a regular Raptor more akin to the Ranger Raptor which still feels very nimble and is only as wide as a Sasquatch package. Don't get me wrong a Raptor is a very fun vehicle but it gets heavy and tight on trails very quickly and didn't do anything better than my Badlands. Sure it can let the ponies run in a field but it's a Bronco still at the end of the day. I feel like the Filson is going to give the best all around capability. It won't have the H.O. 3.0 of the Raptor but it will have a more realistic feel as a Bronco with a few extras of comfort added. I really think it was how the Badlands was supposed to be (I'm a Wildtrak denier) so it's my pick for top dog model.

To each their own. I love my Braptor, big flares and all. I had a Badlands, fully modded, and my BRaptor outdoes it in every way. The ride on the street is not comparable.

I too was a denier until I took a BRaptor for a spin. I had one 2 weeks later. The Filson will be a fancier Badlands. (Maybe). But a BRAptor is in a different league on- and off-road. When you start slinging mud, you will be happy for those fenders.

Same story, loved my Badlands, then test drove a BRaptor. I traded my Badlands that day for it. In my experience, it is a better vehicle in every way.

I dig the Braptor for capabilities and 37’s but have a Badlands with 8112s and 35’s.

Occasionally I get a wild hair up my ass and look at getting a Braptor, but for me the biggest issue is how wide they are.

I end up in a lot of tight and overgrown trails, my Badlands is scratched to shit on the sides and already has a tough time fitting through places friends with Wranglers squeeze through with ease.

All about your use case and what you intend to do, if it wasn’t for the kind of trails I end up at frequently and enjoy, I’d hit it.

This.
The Flares will be off the stroppe more often than on the stroppe.

The width is why I don't have a raptor.

I don’t think anyone denies the Raptor is a functionally superior vehicle, or that it’s a more plush ride, after all its MSRP is around $25K more than a loaded Badlands. Why would anyone expect them to be equivalents?

But what’s interesting (to me anyway) is the Raptor is also a distinctly different personality. By design. The Bronco is minimalist in comparison, functional, utilitarian. The Raptor is aggressive, big, maximalist. It’s more is more, which suits some personalities but not others.

It’s not about width on the trail for most people, maybe more like width in the parking garage. The fact that many buyers who could afford one are put off by its vibe is likely the #1 reason Ford is making the Filson.

I guess the choice boils down to who you are trying to impress. Folks at the country club or folks at the mall.

Current Wrangler 392 owner looking at the Filson Edition and the Raptor. I like that the Filson will have the 3.0 (albeit slightly tuned down a bit from the Raptor), but I’m not crazy about the wheels or the interior. I’ve owned two F150 Raptors so I’m familiar with that trim. Here’s my sticking point with the BRaptor: those obnoxious fender flares. I’m curious if other Raptor owners had the same concern and what you think now after owning one. The color matched flares do help but I still find them cartoonish. Any and all feedback is welcome. Thanks!
My daughter and SIL recently traded an f150 Raptor AND a Black Diamond on a new Braptor. I was looking at those fender flares, and noticed they don't have the quick release fasteners, but puny screws. Really surprised.
And after driving it for five days while they were in Florida, my 2.7 Sasquatch 2dr is quicker off the line. I think they should've got a loaded Badlands, and leased an electric to save money on gas. It seems to get 14-15 mpg. I think with Mickey 37 Mud terrains and fancy wheels, we're talking around $95,000 and 84 month contract(Are you kidding me?). He does make good money in cyber security. But still...
