I'm currently considering purchasing a 2 door Bronco and am doing some research/planning ahead of time. I have a question for those of you who have done the rear seat delete mod. My old/current vehicle is a Honda Element. One of the things I love most about the vehicle is the fact that the rear seats can easily be taken out and put back in whenever they aren't/are needed. I know it won't be quite as simple with the Bronco (since the Element was designed for tool-less removal), but I'm curious how big of a job it is to put one/both seats back in for situations where more passenger seats are needed. Is it something that can be done spur of the moment in a few minutes, or is it more of a major project/chore? Thanks in advance to anyone who can provide some insight.

This should help you with the decision or at least give you an idea of what it takes. Not as easy as the Element.

It's not terribly to remove the rear seats either, especially if you don't care about the rear seat belts.

Once the sensors are bypassed, you can still put seatbelts back in easily, you could even restore full functionality of the seatbelts, but I would not be too worried about putting the sensors back on.

I would budget 15-20 minutes to put them back in.

The trick if you are considering taking them out and putting them back in on demand is purchasing an extra set of rear seatbelts and using them as donors to remove the electrical plug thingy to defeat the dash warning. This way the rear lower seat belt can just stay attached to the seat.
