Go to 4 low and camera and sway bar disconnect stays on/disconnected until 20 mph. Makes sense. Go to 4 high and sway bar stays disconnected until 20 mph, but camera goes off at about 6 mph. Why? Sometimes I would really like the camera on in 4 high at a hill cresting speed of 10 mph. Doesn't make sense. Any way to make the camera stay on until 20 mph in 4 high?

I think you need to be in a GOAT mode that supports the camera...

Got it, but I don't use the goat modes (I do not like the change in the throttle response), and in 4 low you don't need to use a goat mode for the camera to stay on, so why should you need to in 4 high? I have been 4 wheeling for years so I do know how to set up the Bronco to do what I want, and I don't need the nanny to shut off the camera.

Pick your poison. No camera or throttle change…

It is really just programming, and it should be an easy fix. Hopefully Ford will figure it out. Just like when you are in 4 low and sway bar is disconnected, if you turn off the engine, and then back on, the transfer case stays in 4 low, but the sway bar reconnects. Very annoying when you are on a trail. Again, just software.

Way too much “software” stupidity but I bet the lawyers have something to do with it…I am all for actual switches and levers…let me make my own “trouble“ for myself…

It's a least common denominator problem. They're programming it for the worst case scenario driver. Who will forget to do anything and everything. I've never really found it to be an issue for me, though I do actually prefer the simplicity of picking a goat mode and the changes in throttle and steering they deliver. Generally I roll in Mud/Ruts or Rock Crawl when on the dirt. I let it default, then override between 4H/4L as needed. I don't see them changing to behave the way you want. There is a ForScan setting that will allow the camera at any speed though.

Forscan the camera.
Thanks. Unfortunately I do not do Forscan. The dealer I bought it from (several states away) did the important ones. If anyone who can do Forscan is coming to Moab, I would love to have it done and will take them on the trail of their choice.

Use GOAT mode Mud/Ruts or Baja and you will have the front camera. Just don't forget to turn the rear locker off before driving!
