After year 3, if you do not subscribe to Ford’s navigation what will appear on the navigation tab - e.g., blank screen, map with or w/out location, etc.? I use CarPlay for navigation, but curious to know what happens. Thanks.

It'll basically revert to an old-school TomTom or Garmin GPS unit. You'll get basic point A-to-B routing, but you'll stop getting weather, traffic, construction, smart routing, and map updates.

And for anyone who comes here from Google.... what I said above only applies to the Built-In Connected Navigation system that was available with the Lux package from 2021-2023.

The Connected Navigation (without built-in) loses all routing capabilities once the subscription expires. You'll basically just get a dot on a map.

I have a 24 Wildtrak, with built in Nav, and it seems my services expired after only a year? Also once they expired, even the basic GPS routing does not work. I had assumed it would be like Garmin once this happens: Still routes, just can't consider traffic patterns or access weather.

This is how all my other Ford Vehicles behaved once the subscriptions ran out, but not the case here. Attempting any route just results in a message indicating a subscription is required. Have they changed what's included in Basic, unconnected, Built in Nav for 24 and up?

I typically use Waze through apple car play, but did use the built in Nav for some trails that were out of cell range. Could always get a GPS signal anywhere and the bread crumb feature was useful on new trails.

Yeah it sucks that you lose basic navigation functions. I use waze, but there were a couple of times I was out of cell service and needed basic navigation. Every car that I've owned in the past 30 years had basic navigation...free.

Has your waze stopped talking over the speakers? Mine used to give updates while it was on BT and the port out the car speakers but now it only squawks out of the phone.

Waze still sends directions through speakers, no issues there.

I don't understand what changed on my Bronco and how to fix it.
