My bronco order has been in production since 4/22 with a blend of 4/28
delivery according to Ford was set no later than 6/02
Contacted dealer to check the response was “Your bronco was pulled for inspection, but it is built.”

any idea what this means?

I work in automotive, for us this means that it is pulled for a FVA (final vehicle audit). This is a good thing in that the head of quality reviews it with the plant CEO. This means anything they find will be repaired at the factory prior to shipment. Unfortunately, this is largely cosmetic, it would have been track tested prior to this. At our plant anyway...

Same thing with mine back in '21. It came off the transport with 77 miles on it from the factory... I haven't had a single issue with it, its been solid.

after your fifth time at the dealer to fix something that seems like it would be simple, or maybe your fifth separate problem, sit down with a bottle of Jack and ponder how bad it COULD have been WITHOUT the audit inspection.

Mine was on a "plant hold" for 3mo before it shipped. Had 53mi when it arrived. Not a problem here either.

Edit: that was 3yrs ago. Built in April shipped in July. Took delivery Aug 5 2022.

Some of those miles are probably from moving around to storage lots rather than getting directly loaded onto the train or carrier.

The average new car typically has about 5-10mi from delivery and transport upon delivery. Dealers will add miles from joy rides and demos. My dealer sent me a pic of the odometer at 53 when they unloaded it.

I was there when mine was unloaded also... It was January '22 after a snow storm, mine was the farthest forward and covered with road salt from the tractor.

Sound like they were running short on inventory at the infamous 'Dirt Mountain' and needed the OP's Bronco. Mine was stuck there for a few months.

Myth or not? I heard that upper management can pull one of their choosing out of the finished pile and drive it home and back. Then they have to fill out a standardized report on that specific VIN. That could explain the 50-80 miles on some of them when they arrive on the lot. I also heard they usually put a special sticker on the glass explaining this. The dealer usually removes ALL of the stickers, so the customer may never see it. Overall, I think It's a good QC thing.

That is true. Plant managers drive one home most every night.
