Just tell them if you can't pick it up within a few days. You will do the PDI yourself. Sounds like they just want to keep it on display. The final inspection does not take that long. If they still insist then tell them you want it parked inside in the service area with the doors locked. And note the mileage off the truck.

I WOULD TELL THEM IT BETTER NOT HAVE MORE THAN 15 MILES ON THE ODOMETER, WHEN YOU COME TO PICK IT UP. AND IT BETTER STILL HAVE ALL THE PLASTIC INSIDE ON THE SEATS.

I just heard from my dealership, they told me that my Bronco is expected to be delivered between Aug 14 and Aug 20 but that may change. I was also told that the safety inspection that's completed before the sale can be processed will take 5 to 7 DAYS!

The dealership has been great to work worth so far. I really hope there some sort of misunderstanding happening right now.

Has anyone heard anything close to that amount of time to turn over their vehicle? I was under the impression that it would take several hours.

Maybe they need time for all the staff to take it home for the night!

Mine was delivered to dealer around noon on July 8th. I was told they were going to inspect and I could pick it up the next day. Showed up at 1 the next day and out the door by 3:30. I would definitely question. By the way, it had 9 miles on it when I left. No test drives.

2.5hrs at the dealership after already agreeing to price before delivery? Thats about 2hrs too long. When I flew to TX for my f150, I was there 30min and that was with me taking a 10min test drive lol. This time I’m skipping the dealership entirely.

I mean, what good does telling them they better not do whatever..."or else?" What is he going to do, walk away? If you go after someone with an "or else," you probably ought to have something to follow it up with.

I did tell them no badges, no stickers, no front plate bracket, no car wash.

I think the sales person may have had bad information and past it along to me. I've since been told the inspection could possibly be done the same day depending on how busy the service department is.
