I've ordered nearly all of my new cars since 1986. It has never taken more than the day after the vehicle arrived. 5-7 days just doesn't sound right. I would ask why so long, and as suggested I would tell them no joy rides at all.

I would be stalking that dealership for the truck coming in w your Bronco. And I would take it home that day. I wouldn't want them putting their badges on it either. Bring the money and sign away. That "inspection" is total BS.

That’s the point a Ford rule and then Ford will just change the rule because the dealership’s are crying . We are all seeing that play out in real time.

What pissed me off the most was when they threw the whole dealer allocation bullshit in. There was 0 mention of it then all of a sudden allocation.

Our PDI may take a couple hours, unless there is something wrong with the vehicle. I don't even care how many miles mine shows up with. Warranty starts at whatever point you purchase the vehicle. I'd rather everything check out and have no issues. My two cents... joyride is a different story.

My dealer told me no one is allowed to drive my Bronco except when it's offloaded from the truck, and again by only one tech after its gone over. It's driven on a small street in a circle then back. It shouldn't have more than a few miles on it. My dealer will contact me before, and when it lands. I want to be there for offloading. Talk to your dealer. Be forward in what you want. Buying a car should be a fun experience for you. If you lose faith in your salesman, ask the GM for another one who takes care of business.

It’s a funny thing a lot of people can remember one of the business that works at F***ing them over. I wish there was a thread on this forum that would list the dealers that are extremely dishonest and misleading by name. But sadly I don’t think that will happen. Just as there are dealership that have taken large amounts of money for a deposit and now there are these problems and they refused to refund the deposit back to the customers.

When and if I get mine it’s going to be on here loud and clear.

Mine was delivered to dealer around noon on July 8th. I was told they were going to inspect and I could pick it up the next day. Showed up at 1 the next day and out the door by 3:30. I would definitely question. By the way, it had 9 miles on it when I left. No test drives.

I would have a conversation with my salesman and gm to discuss what is acceptable before a problem develops. But you do you.

Dealers here have been very clear that reserved and pre-sold vehicles cannot be test driven and hopefully that's the same for you. However, they are very eager to advertise them for people to come in and see and then place an order. The longer they can display them, the more orders, inevitably.
