Update Aug 5th.

Apparently they tell their customers 5 to 7 days to be safe but it's possible to get it done within 24 hrs. They want to "under promise and over deliver". They have been great to work with so far so I'll cut them a little slack but I will be there the day it gets delivered and I will wait until they're done.

I just heard from my dealership, they told me that my Bronco is expected to be delivered between Aug 14 and Aug 20 but that may change. I was also told that the safety inspection that's completed before the sale can be processed will take 5 to 7 DAYS!

The dealership has been great to work worth so far. I really hope there some sort of misunderstanding happening right now.

Has anyone heard anything close to that amount of time to turn over their vehicle? I was under the impression that it would take several hours.

I’ve bought 15 new cars over the past 5 years I’ve never heard of that. @flip Did Ford add this to the PDI for the Bronco?

It probably takes a few hours - but as they do not know when it will come in - they cannot put it on schedule. So when it comes in they put it on schedule and you will be behind the blue-haired lady buying the Escape or the teenager buying the Mustang or the retiree buying the Mach-E. Everyone gets in line. There are only so many hours in the day.

Now if you buttered up the employees a little, kick in some beer money, etc... then maybe you can move up a slot or so.

I purchased a F150 on July 22nd. It arrived on the truck around noon and I was driving it off the lot at 530pm... sounds like they want to have it sit on display for a week to draw some traffic in.

That was my thought as well but that isn't going to work for me. I'll be there the day it gets delivered and just wait until they can find time to inspect it.

Sounds reasonable. I want my dealer to go through my vehicle before delivery and make sure it's good to go. Ive been waiting over a year and not expecting to see mine for another 6 to 12 months. What's another week?

Do they have any demo Broncos? If not I would be worried about them utilizing it for test drives. 5-7 days for pre delivery inspection is a no go. Its your order go get it they day it comes in.
They have a demo unit coming at the same time. Best we can tell it'll probably be on the same truck.

I am same timing for delivery. I talked w/my dealer and they said they will make sure I am there to see it roll off the truck, instructions are to not remove any stickers. I will be waiting at the dealer the entire time (2-3hrs) for the inspection to be completed and then be ready to roll.
I only waited 9 months for my kids, I am sitting at 13 months waiting for this thing.... I didnt leave the hospital then, won't be leaving this time either!
