Might reduce the depth with careful application of heat from a hairdryer, but I don't think it will come all the way back out.
Thanks, I'll give that a try.

So I made a bad move and mounted a phone holder to my dash, on a brand new Bronco, not realizing it would leave a big indent/gash in the material (where it's semi soft). Does anyone have any suggestions of how I might be able to fix it?

I've attached a pic below.
Chris, welcome to the forum. Unless you can find someone very artistic with the appropriate materials, its unlikely you’ll be able to get it fixed short of replacing the dash. Chalk it up to an embarrassing mistake that irritates you every time you look at it. I get it and have several myself. It’s on the front top of the dash if I’m not mistaken, and most passengers won’t notice it. Don’t let the good natured ribbing get you down. It’s all part of social media. There are many very knowledgeable folks here ready to help.

Take care.

Thanks for your response. Yep, I majorly F'd up. Might not be so bad if it wasn't so new, and right in front of my face every time I get in. Do you know if you can even buy a new dash, just that top piece? I'm sure it's crazy expensive, but I haven't even been able to find it to see how much that little gouge would cost me if I were to replace it.

You can buy it, but the hero switch panel is kind of a pain to get out and there's a lot involved in removing dash panels. You could offset the cost by selling the old one, I'm sure there's someone here or on Marketplace for whom that dash would be an upgrade and willing to overlook the minor blemish.

It's now what I like to call "character"...The first blemish is always the hardest, it'll get easier with time and many more blemishes.
This ^^^^^^^. So very true.

A good upholstery shop can do amazing things. I've seen such repairs firsthand (or rather, "not seen" them).

I was at such a shop on Monday picking up my dad's '75 C10 interior. I had the entire interior (bucket seats, dash pad, door panels, kick panels, trim, and console) prepped and dyed for just about double what you would pay to replace your Bronco's little dash pad.

Repairing that little slice would cost nothing compared to replacing the pad.

No, it's not a big deal, you're just being hard on yourself.

When I bought my first new truck (new vehicle) in 2010, the FIRST DAY I was getting in and awkwardly scraped the bezel of my watch on my driver side window. Left a big ol' mark on the glass, only some of which came off. I was so annoyed!! I couldn't believe I did that. For about two weeks, saw it every time I got in.

Then I basically forgot about. Went and got tint about six months later and totally forgot, accused them of messing up over the phone, then remembered as I turned into their parking lot. Just kept on driving... lol

To this day, under that tint, it's still there but I never notice it, although it's right in my field of vision when I look out the window.

I think you can buy a new cover part, but believe me, that is not worth it (cost-wise or what if the install isn't perfect? They mess something else up? 🤷‍♂️ ). Sometimes life is just about learning to let it go.
