Yeah I thought the price was pretty good too compared to some others like the Braptor dash which used to be (and maybe still is) ~$1000

No, it's not a big deal, you're just being hard on yourself.

When I bought my first new truck (new vehicle) in 2010, the FIRST DAY I was getting in and awkwardly scraped the bezel of my watch on my driver side window. Left a big ol' mark on the glass, only some of which came off. I was so annoyed!! I couldn't believe I did that. For about two weeks, saw it every time I got in.

Then I basically forgot about. Went and got tint about six months later and totally forgot, accused them of messing up over the phone, then remembered as I turned into their parking lot. Just kept on driving... lol

To this day, under that tint, it's still there but I never notice it, although it's right in my field of vision when I look out the window.

I think you can buy a new cover part, but believe me, that is not worth it (cost-wise or what if the install isn't perfect? They mess something else up? ). Sometimes life is just about learning to let it go.

Yep, as several have said, the first blemish is the worst. To date our Bronco doesn't have any.

My truck that I bought new in '23 as a leftover '22, had a few dings and scratches in it, the dealer repaired them before I took delivery. Looked absolutely FLAWLESS. Took it and started driving it.

One day I was being careless and as I was getting in, the hard steel button on my Leatherman holster drug across the paint of the back door. There's now a nice scuff that would probably come out with just a buffing wheel, but I'm the only one who can see it. There are also two chips right below the rear window from me pushing my tonneau cover too far forward once and hitting the paint. They don't bother me as much as the scuff, even though they should.

At the end of the day, it's an expensive vehicle but a vehicle nonetheless. At some point something will happen, and you've either got to bite the bullet and fix it, or make your peace with it.

Don't be, apparently those dashes are fragile.

Maybe try watming with a hair dryer ! Be careful not too hot. Plastic may return to its original shape.

upholestery folks can work magic. you could find something that matches and have a square stitched in. so you wouldnt make that slice go away, but you'd have some square and intentional looking at that spot. OR, to make useful, as otherss have suggestion, add a square mounting frame for an accessory and cut into that cover to make OEM.

Are we sure this is the 2024 Badlands stitched dash? Because if it is im ordering right now.

As sure as I can be without putting my hands on it.
Catalog seems to have the correct build dates for it now also using a 24 badlands VIN

There's also the install cost. I don't know if you have to dismantle the dash, for instance, which is always a cluster.
