That's what I have on the Jeep 315/70R17 KO2's.
I personally think the SAS is worth it just for the gearing, particularly if you're good with 35" rubber. You'll be set up. Some say the stock Goodyear's are trash, but I've not had any blowout issues and for me the traction has been very good in our terrain and on our super wet roads in the PNW. Even "OK" in snow. I have 20K miles on mine and they are in great shape. Mickey Thompson 35X12.50R17 Baja Boss ATs will replace them in time.

I'd personally go with the V6, unless you NEED a manual. The "problems" with the V6 was on a single batch of bad valves on '21 models I believe (maybe early '22s?), which has been resolved with a recall and extended 10 year warranty for affected VINs. You get a new engine if it fails, which they reportedly do quickly if they are going to.

From there, you need to make a plan. If you're going to stay stock, a BL SAS might be your best choice. I went with a used '22 2-dr WT Lux because Broncos a meant to be 2 doors, it has the V6, they are all SAS and I knew I was staying with 35" rubber. Saved about $25K over MSRP of a '24. I was going to replace the bumpers (ADD, OEM is plastic on a WT) to add a winch (Warn M8000), add a rack (TrailRax TRMR), add skid plates far beefier than OEM (SFR), add frame mounted step/sliders (RCI) and a bunch of other stuff....which would make it heavy....which would overwhelm the stock suspension....which would be resolved with aftermarket stuff. So lacking the Fox Shocks, skids, and having plastic bumpers was a non factor. I'm only missing the Severe Duty rack, which was about $1k with shipping (had the Procal for the performance tune). It is in my basement waiting to be installed. I'm shopping for a used sta-bar disconnect, but that is low on the wish list.

In the end you can't really go wrong. Broncos are easy to live with and very capable. Anything you're missing, you can add with some time and $ in the aftermarket and probably upgrade over OEM. Then it becomes YOUR Bronco. I absolutely love driving mine and it is a dream come true 45+ years in the making.

Good luck!

I may be getting ready to pull the trigger. This is a 23 wildtrack. 28k miles, power seats NO LUX. I believe this means I'm giving up: Homelink (can fix that) the base stereo (that too can be fixed), No wireless charging pad (don't care about that) and ACC (can't be fixed). It does have regular cruise control, and the NAV requires some subscription.

Anything I should be looking for or at, besides the issues of needing swaybar disconnects? How much skid plating have you WT guys added underneath?

thanks

Looks nice.

The high tech stuff is personal - and you said what you think about that.

For skid plates -- It should have a steel engine plate, but that will be about it. Most folks will do the full Ford Skid plate set - starts at around $800 - less with sales and Ford Points - it includes trans / t-case / fuel tank skid.

There are a lot of aftermarket options as well, none all that much better than Ford's though - but if you wanted aluminum to cut weight, or UHMW for slickiness or what not - they all exist.

You will probably want mud flaps with those tires - they are good traction, have somewhat thin side walls (if you do anything near sharp rocks or really bad pot holes), and are notorious for throwing small rocks until they are well broken in. 28k miles ~should~ be broken in, but...

The side steps - you may re-evaluate those if you get into rocks. For getting in and out of Starbucks they are great though.

I find the base radio is easier/cheaper to upgrade. The B&O isn't so great to begin with that I would forgo an upgrade all together, and it's way more expensive to upgrade, so it isn't a huge loss, at least in my opinion.

Swaybar disco - I threw a 21mm and #6 allen in with my jack. But it doesn't bother me to spend 5 minutes crawling under the truck before and after the trail either. You can get the electric one from the Badlands and retrofit it in, and there are a lot of aftermarket options -- the usual suspects from the Jeep world.

That's ... about it, until you get into super personal stuff. Nice find.

Looks like that one has a steel bumper, not sure if that includes skids or not. '22 WT 2-dr had plastic bumpers and, no steel skids at all other than the fuel tank. It had a thin plastic engine guard. I don't think 4-doors come with a fuel tank skid. Check out Stinky Fab Racing or SFR. They are very stout skids and they bolt to factory locations. They also have the room if you want to add the electronic sta-bar disconnect on later. Did you use the VIN to look up the window sticker?

I'm not 100% positive, but I think if it came from the factory with the Mod or Capable bumper, it will have the steel skid, and if it has plastic bumper it has the plastic skid.

Plastic skid won't fit any of the stock bumpers except the plastic one.

BIG THANK YOU....

Yes those steps won't last a month.

Sooner than later this type will make it's way to the Bronco. They can take a pounding AND they mostly stop rocks from being kicked up.

I will have to give the 21mm and #6 allen method a try. Admittedly 1/2 the time I forget to but in the rubi I just "push the button".

Actually, if it's a high package, ACC can be retrofit to it. There is a thread on here that explains how to do it. Costs under $1k to DIY retrofit.
