I personally think the SAS is worth it just for the gearing, particularly if you're good with 35" rubber. You'll be set up. Some say the stock Goodyear's are trash, but I've not had any blowout issues and for me the traction has been very good in our terrain and on our super wet roads in the PNW. Even "OK" in snow. I have 20K miles on mine and they are in great shape. Mickey Thompson 35X12.50R17 Baja Boss ATs will replace them in time. That's what I have on the Jeep 315/70R17 KO2's.
I'd personally go with the V6, unless you NEED a manual. The "problems" with the V6 was on a single batch of bad valves on '21 models I believe (maybe early '22s?), which has been resolved with a recall and extended 10 year warranty for affected VINs. You get a new engine if it fails, which they reportedly do quickly if they are going to.
From there, you need to make a plan. If you're going to stay stock, a BL SAS might be your best choice. I went with a used '22 2-dr WT Lux because Broncos a meant to be 2 doors, it has the V6, they are all SAS and I knew I was staying with 35" rubber. Saved about $25K over MSRP of a '24. I was going to replace the bumpers (ADD, OEM is plastic on a WT) to add a winch (Warn M8000), add a rack (TrailRax TRMR), add skid plates far beefier than OEM (SFR), add frame mounted step/sliders (RCI) and a bunch of other stuff....which would make it heavy....which would overwhelm the stock suspension....which would be resolved with aftermarket stuff. So lacking the Fox Shocks, skids, and having plastic bumpers was a non factor. I'm only missing the Severe Duty rack, which was about $1k with shipping (had the Procal for the performance tune). It is in my basement waiting to be installed. I'm shopping for a used sta-bar disconnect, but that is low on the wish list.
In the end you can't really go wrong. Broncos are easy to live with and very capable. Anything you're missing, you can add with some time and $ in the aftermarket and probably upgrade over OEM. Then it becomes YOUR Bronco. I absolutely love driving mine and it is a dream come true 45+ years in the making.
Good luck!
