New owner couple questions

Something new everyday. Tried searching but no luck. What is the round cover on the center top dash with the battery icon? Windows drop with every open and raise with every close. Any issues with that.? Wondering about a dead battery and trying to open the door. Will it hit the upper molding?

I assume you have the Lux package.

If you remove that cover there will be USB ports that can be used to charge cameras, phones, etc.

The window drop is there to reduce interference & wear/tear on the weather stripping.

It's not the end of world if the battery dies and you have to open the door without the window drop a few times.

Conversely when the auto drop stops working on the next update you’ll get super annoyed hearing the window flop around until you roll it down then roll it back up.

- you should learn the reset procedure and save yourself a lot of random troubleshooting.

Roll the problem window all the way down and keep holding down 3 seconds after it hits bottom, then roll it up holding it 3 seconds after it hits top, then down and hold 3 seconds extra, and up with holding 3 seconds extra again.
This should resolve most auto up/down problems, and the windows not going up/down when opening the doors.
