My display of outside temps has always been several degrees off. Today, whole new level…. Anyone seen this? It was 20f outside.

Happened to me on a previous F150. Dealer replaced the sensor.

Yup, there are a few of us. They initially found a loose plug and thought they fixed it.... Nope.My display of outside temps has always been several degrees off. Today, whole new level…. Anyone seen this? It was 20f outside.
Next service visit, they tore into it and found the sensor "had a chip outta it". No parts in Canada... Waiting for it to arrive. Currently on week 2.
Oh, and it'll f*ck up your HVAC, heads up.

Damn…. Just drove again and now my check engine light is on. Will post back in a few days once I get it looked at.

I'd assume this is an off the shelf part, probably used on 95% of Ford products. How is there no inventory stock? Are they failing this much?

Mine bit the dust today too. Showed 100 degrees but outside temp was 25. Seems very odd they are all dying all of the sudden. Mine just did an update on the software, maybe coincidence
My temp was reading 176 degrees F and then went blank. Right after that the check engine light came on. Mine was built the last week of Nov/first week of Dec. anyone else’s built then

Mine was built in October. Dealer checked it out and said it is the sensor, and the part is on back order… 3 weeks.
