My sensor just went bad showing 140 outside temp. Unfortunately this must be common as now they are out of stock back ordered from Ford. Anybody got a source that has in stock?
Welcome to the club! Backordered for a bit it seems.

Glad I found this thread was wondering why my outside temp has read way warmer a few times already the Bronco isn't even 3 months old. I'll pick one of these up to change as from what it sounds like from you guys it will go.

My temp was reading low. And would stick around 63 or 64 and start working again after driving around. Replaced sensor yesterday morning and it appears to be working like new again. Most people with issues are saying that their temps are showing higher, only saw a few people saying their temps were showing lower like mine. My latest software update was a month ago.
Did you do a reset??

I never did the reset. Replaced sensor and the temp appears correct on the info center.
Not saying it doesn't need resetting as this may affect something besides what the outside temp shows on the Info Center. I think the engine may also use this sensor. No error codes pertaining to the sensor. The check engine light never came on either before or after the sensor was replaced.

Gotcha thanks. My check engine light went on and outside temp was not showing anything. Then at one point temp final read but check engine light was still on. I will see what happens today.

Mine went out yesterday in the rain. Check engine light went on and got the the message in the ford pass app. The outside temp was showing .. then every once in a while would show 48 when it was probably 54 degrees. Tried blowing air in the sensor. No change. Ordered the sensor from Levittown ford parts on line. Was in stock!!. Now wait for the part.
Does anyone know how to recalibrate the sensor if you don’t have a forscan??

I don't think any of us had to calibrate the sensor.

Back when I replaced mine, just unplugged battery, replaced sensor, hooked battery back up and was good to go.

What I would question is your check engine light though. Never had that pop with the sensor reading wrong. And when it read wrong it was reading around 110 when it was like 40 degrees out. You should pull the code and find out why your check engine light is on.

That's odd, my light never popped.

Well I guess it wouldn't hurt to just try and replace the sensor and see what happens.

When I went to go to the dealer to drop the bronco off, check engine light was NOT on anymore and outside temp showed 85 degrees by the time I got to the dealer. Was like 53 degrees outside this am. Service said they don’t do check engine light work on Friday’s only Mondays and Tuesdays. So much for making an appointment Thursday am. So will take it back on Monday. The service advisor said the air temp sensor is not under the left mirror, it’s somewhere in the front . What???? And thry said since the check engine light is no longer on, it will be very hard to find the issue.- you have a sensor that is not reading correctly- so change it out!

On most Ford’s it’s in the front, not on the Bronco. This is why you don’t listen to information from advisers lol
Even if the check engine light isn’t on, the code will still be there.

As soon as they said it was in the front, I knew they didn’t know what they were talking about. I’m really hoping the code stays in the computer, afraid of the “ we can’t duplicate the issue, so there is nothing we can do”. Just look at the temp and if it’s way off- there’s the issue!!

Unless you clear the code yourself, it will remain in there. You'll be fine. But honestly if it were me, I'd buy the $5 part and replace it myself rather than deal with the idiots you seem to be dealing with.

I'm 45K+ on my 2021 Badlands Sasquatch and my dash temp reading has just started to be high by about 15F for the past several weeks when it used to be perfectly accurate. Is this something people are just starting to see happen? From a software update maybe?
Sensors have been garbage since day one... And it's shared with multiple models...
Wait til it really messes up and your HVAC goes screwy!
