I'm planning to install fog lights on my '24 Bronco. I like the Oracles, but have read about fogging/condensation issues. Oracle says they have corrected the problem.
Is anyone experiencing problems with the "new and improved" Oracle fog lights?

Good to hear… Thanks for the info!
So are you pleased with the Oracles? Did you get white, yellow, or amber?

Just reach out to Oracle with the pics of the issue and original receipt. They will send you a new set. I did it and had them within a week. Only have to pay for shipping $12, was worth it.

I have the Amber lights. I am happy with them. They are not overpowering. I think technically they are not suppose to be used on road. I have never had anyone flash their lights at me and I drive by a state trooper from work every night and they have never stopped me.

Hello, here are some details not the corrective actions taken on the Bronco fog lights. Hopefully this helps explain how we were able to significantly improve the performance of the lights.

ENHANCING THE QUALITY AND PERFORMANCE OF PART# 5890 LED FOG LIGHTS

At ORACLE Lighting we are committed to delivering the highest quality products and continuously improving our designs to ensure the best experience for our customers.
We identified an issue where, in some cases, customers reported that the LED emitters in Part# 5890 fog lights could develop a heavy fogging and droplets on the internal lens. This was caused by moisture entering the unit and condensing inside the light module.

Analysis: To recreate this phenomenon the individual modules were tested in a spray chamber and subjected to high pressure spray and vapor testing. In this testing simulation jet nozzles delivered high pressure spray from all directions simulating extreme conditions.

Root Cause: In this simulation it was determined that on some units the sealant around the cable input was penetrated by the high pressure jets. The vapor that entered would then condensate and appear as fog on the lens of the light module.

Corrective Action: In order to assure that this area is fully sealed a re-design of the mold was completed in February of 2024. This revision created a chamber around the cable so that the sealant can be injected after cable assembly which would allow the sealant to completely encapsulate the opening and cable itself.
These changes ensure complete encapsulation of the opening, preventing any potential moisture entry and enhancing the long-term durability of the fog lights. With this redesign customers can expect even greater reliability and performance from our LED fog lights, even in the harshest conditions. We appreciate your trust in our products and remain dedicated to providing the best possible experience.

FAQ:

Q: When did this change take place?

A: The design was updated by ORACLE Lighting in February of 2024.

Q: If I order this product, will I get the new design?
A: Yes, we only stock the new design with the updates applied.

Q: What if I have some fogging in my lens?
A: Some fogging is normal from environmental factors such as humidity and temperature differentials. These lights (as well as most modern lights) have valves in place to allow the differentials to climatize which results in fog dissipation. No further action is needed.

Q: What if I have beading of water in the light?
A: Beads of water can indicate that moisture has penetrated past the seal. In that case we can replace the module with a new unit. Please use the form located at www.oraclelights.com/rma to request a replacement.

If you have any questions or need further assistance, please don’t hesitate to contact our customer support team.

I am not sure I would go with Oracle . I am having issues getting my light replaced under warranty. The fogging was a known issue and should be replaced regardless of warranty status.

Honestly I haven’t really looked. Something I wasn’t worried about. But I like the color of the amber fogs. I don’t think you will notice if they were different.
