I had an original reservation back in 2021 that I never acted on after all the delays then, so I waited. Just wanted the most basic 2 door manual. The manual was unobtainium in 2023, and then the base was gone for 2024. When the base came back in 2025, and the manual probably had all the bugs out by now, and there was a Marsh Gray that looked like my F-150 Leadfoot I thought, I put my order in. 9 months of waiting and a few delays it was finally built. The base models were to be built last in the yearly run. It arrived this weekend and I picked it up. Yea, looks kind of plain, but the color is cool, a bit of green, some bit of sparkle, and a strange kind of tan that looks good. I don't plan on changing a thing on it, not even tires. Put a Twisted Shifter white ball on the shifter, and probably do the Steeda clutch spring tomorrow and add a keypad, but then I am done.

The gages look a lot better in 2025, all one screen now. Where are the numbers for the needle? It just displays digits in the center.
The tach side of the gages shows what gear you are in in large digital. Wish I could turn that off. I know the gears.
The center screen is huge, even on the base. Has Apple car-play and vehicle hot spot which I was surprised to see on a base.
Headlights are LED and work really well. Those are even standard on the base mode.
This sucker is fast! I did not expect that.
For 2025 they added port injection along with the direct injection so intake valves should be staying clean.
With the stock pizza cutter tires and rims, it is really quiet. Dealer put wheel locks on. Why? I took them off. I will be the one who runs base wheels & tires.
2025 has cruise control which I think was not on the base before in 2021.
Hard top has sound deadener standard.
Dealer said I had the only 2025 stick shift sold. They don't stock any or order any for the lot. I did not drive one and took a chance.
getting 21mpg in all kinds of mixed driving. Has good highway stability which I was surprised being a short wheel base.
I guess it went up about $10,000 over the 2021 same model, but there are a lot of nice improvements since 2021 on the base model now.

So far, I like it a lot. I keep things to 400,000 miles. See if this one holds up to that over time. Wish it was aluminum like the F-150 to avoid rust later on.

Congratulations!

The Base has always had cruise and LED headlights. By the way, almost all of the Bronco's body panels are aluminum. I believe only the rear quarters are steel for some reason.

Pardon me while I laugh at this! 😂🤣😅

Are they ever really done?

a hood deflector here
a bull bar there
some tires with a more rugged look
maybe some slider/steps to stop the rock chips
gotta have that stubby antenna

Congrats, at any rate!!

Ya have to love them Bases though!
I ran 35's on mine for a few years, currently I'm back to the stock wheels and rubber.
Just wanted to change the look for awhile. Found myself eyeballing all the stockers whenever I would see one.

Back when I was 16, I had a chance to get a 1975 Bronco for $5000 in 1983. It was too much money for me then. It was copper colored, 5.0 and a stick shift. This basic one, just the way it is, scratches that old itch. The base is nostalgic in appearance. I might put some same size more aggressive tires on the steelies someday but the steelies stay. You still get a lot of Bronco with the base entry, more than I expected I guess. It does not feel "cheap" in any way. I got it for $38,500 with the employee discount program going on. In years past, the dealer was marking them up $3000 to $5000 over sticker which made me pull back and wait.

I have a 23 Basequatch, but, I Completely understand keeping it as Base as possible. If you plan on any off roading, at least getting a slightly more aggressive tire would make a world of difference, especially in the snow. Never understood why they put a street tire on an offroad vehicle.

The only other thing, I would have to do is add Chrome Trim rings to the steelies. I am a sucker for that!! LOL

I too, have no mod plans. Thing is fun to tool around in.

Probably end up with some 235/85 (32”) or 255/85 (33”) tires after a few months.

That tire upgrade is a perfect plan, and, as I told KevininChicago, you need some Chrome Trim rings!!

Nice, I paid $1,000 for my '67 in '83 (I was 15). It was pretty loaded, had the cigar lighter, AM radio and a hand throttle.

The 2-door manual base should handle and accelerate really well because it's not carrying the weight. On my (stripped) '24 Big Bend (the equivalent of the base last year) I was astonished at how fast and thrashable it was. To me, this is the original spirit: light, nimble, short wheelbase, manual transmission. With a Ford Performance tune, you can hit 0-60 in less than 7 seconds. Improve the intake, exhaust and intercooler and you're in the low 6 second range (and getting over 20MPG to boot).

It adds up to a vehicle that doesn't need the lockers, big tires and lifts if you know how to drive it (for most scenarios). We knew that going back to the original Willys. Scrappy, durable - less to go wrong, fun to drive, cheaper to buy, cheaper to drive, cheaper to repair. Another plus is that its original 2-door body design remains unmolested: simple and truly authentic.

Outside of crawling on the western trails, if you are in a situation where this simple Bronco can't get you where you want to go, you probably shouldn't be out in it.

Well done!

I believe almost all of the panels are thin aluminum. So no rust, but they can't corrode.
