2025 Base 4D Sasquatch as a primary vehicle

Hey all, I have been in love with the look of the Bronco. I currently own three cars and want to get rid of them all and use the funds to buy a 2025 Base 4Door Bronco with the Sasquatch package. I dont drive much, typically. But I do take a 100 mile 2 hour drive (mostly back roads) twice a month. Otherwise its just running errands. I am not too concerned about the gas usage but I am curious about the noise and comfort. Anyone use a similar Bronco in a similar way? The cars I would be getting rid of, if you are curious : 2022 Toyota Rav4 Hybrid, 2008 Toyota 4Runner V8, 2003 Jeep Wrangler 4.0L

I would say your experience with the Bronco would be similar to your TJ Wrangler noise wise. Jeep hard top to Bronco hard top, soft top to soft top. It's an open top vehicle. It's not "quiet".

The comfort level is much, much better. IFS makes a huge difference vs. solid front axle. I drove my 2dr from KY to Key West and it's more comfortable than my wife's Explorer on the highway. Dirt roads are a no brainer vs the Jeep. Hope this helps.

KEEP that 4R. Unless the frame is toast, keep that thing.
Other than that, yes these are noisy (relatively when compared to a fixed-roof vehicle), but not as noisy as your Wrangler is.
Comfort is subjective, but it undoubtedly is more comfy than your Wrangler as well. (I had an 01 4.0 TJ soft top)
Mine does double-duty as a daily and an adventure vehicle.
No complaints to either use.
I love driving it.
So much so I have put less than 100 miles on my motorcycle this year.
And I could have saved a ton of $ in fuel by riding it to work.
It really is that fun to drive.

Ya my 4Runner is really nice. If only it was a convertible...The Jeep is kinda tiny and tight and you need to pay constant attention while on the highway. The Rav4 is ok, good on gas, but not that comfortable either.

I daily drive my Big Bend - and the only (stock) difference fee between that and a Base is leather wrapped steering wheel

Compared to my F150, which was my previous daily:

With the soft top, yeah it’s louder but … convertible. With the hard top noise is comparable to the F150 with a pipe rack.

Mileage is a hair worse than F150 with pipe rack - but within spitting distance.

F150 has a much larger interior with crazy bits of room, especially in the back seat. Bronco is much more “cockpit”

Bronco can do a U-turn and fit in all the parking spots

Bronco has a manual and is much more fun to drive

Ride on the Bronco isn’t bad - it is stiffer than the F150 but not punishing. Feels more connected than plush (a lot of this depends on your tires and suspension)

Bronco loves to get random creaks and rattles, and at least prior to MY25 the instrument cluster is retarded. F150 fit and finish is a good deal better, I have to admit.

The 2.3T feels a lot more peppy than the Coyote V8, but you have to be willing to let it rev - running at 2.5k-3k RPM is nothing for the i4 whereas you wouldn’t really think of it in the v8. If you try to ride the 2.3 less than 2k RPM it’s a dog, whereas the coyote will sit down there and purr all day long.

I’ve done long trips is both - F150 has more leg room but the Bronco is still my preferred ride because it’s more nimble and fun. My F150 has been relegated to just a hauling vehicle now

It's all your state of mind. If you think it might be a problem, then your mind will confirm that for you.

My wife went from minivans to an OBX (non-Sas) for her daily driver. No complaints. It stirred her soul, and that's what mattered. That, plus the soft top convertible aspect of it.

I had 4 Jeep TJ's- most recent a 1997, 4.0L, 5 speed manual. It was a gem with only 30K on it. I sold it for my current 2022 Bronco 2 door base Sasquatch. I loved my TJ but love the Bronco way more. It's better and quieter on the highway, much better acceleration, much better steering and more comfortable. I can drive it on the highway and cruise comfortably at 70. It's just as good if not better off road as well. I wish it could be my daily driver but my one and only one complaint is the gas mileage. I get a reasonable 22.7 average but driving 80 miles a day I can't afford it. So it's a weekend vehicle only. If you don't have a lot of commuting/driving or are not worried about gas cost and you love Jeep TJ's you will love the Bronco more.

I now have over 73k miles on a 2021 BaseSquatch 2.7l. Commute 75 miles round trip per day, no issues with comfort. I suggest you test drive one to see how it feels for you as I've seen a few posts in the past of people that were extremely uncomfortable in them, but that was only a handful.

I moved from various Audis and BMWs with an old TJ down to a JLUR to a Bronco only. It's great- IFS makes it perfect for a daily. I'm one of thos weirdos that actually liked the way the Jeep drove around town. It sucked on the highway. I feel like the Bronco is an ideal combo.

I like my 2023 Non SAS BD but I think you’re cray for getting rid of the 4Runner !

It’s hard for me to advise getting rid of the 4Runner. Not sure of the mileage but I’d bet it will still be running at the point you start worrying your bronco won’t make the 100 mile round trip.

I don’t mean to sound like a Toyota fanboy, but I sort of backed my way into it when we got my wife’s ‘23 TRD OR a few months ago. They are so well-sorted. Don’t expect that from a Bronco.

Like others here, I came from a TJ wrangler (‘97 with 25k miles). The bronco is so much better in every way.

You won’t regret the Bronco - even with its few annoyances. Let me know what you want for that 4R though.

Do yourself a favor and step up a model and add the mid package if this will be your only vehicle. I see several new ‘24 Big Bend with SAS and mid package around $48k in my region via autotrader.

I use a base Sas 2 dr as a daily driver. and have racked up 45,500 miles in a little less than 2 1/2 years. I love this thing. I tell people that if you're going to get a Bronco, make sure you get a 2.7 advanced Sasquatch. Or you'll be sorry.

same as the previous poster. i have a 2 door base SAS with v6. i did add the mod bumper from ford performance but that's about it. amazing daily driver just over 2 years and 32k miles. i hardly ever drive my challenger anymore.
