Battery goes into suspend after sitting for 1 day.

glad to buy the ultimate battery..

I use it all summer in New England, sits in garage on battery tender most of the winter.

what is the biggest and best battery brand or type to buy for my situation?

Thanks

I tried - had two swell on me. Went back to AGM.

I think it just gets too hot under the hood for Lithium to stay happy.

Pretty much all batteries are built by 2 or 3 different companies to the specs (cranking amps/reserve capacity/etc.) of the branded company that wants to slap their name on it.

Buy a battery based on specs & warranty.

Honestly, I get my batteries at Wal-Mart. Since Wal-Marts are all over the country if one fails early it's easy to replace or get a pro-rate core charge depending on the warranty you choose. Also a decent battery tender will be your batteries best friend. I have a pigtail for my tender that is bolted to the battery lugs so it's easy to connect when I park at home. Don't even have to open the hood.

I usually buy at Costco for the win on price. Consumer Reports says the best Group 94R (what our Broncos need) is the Odyssey Performance 48-720, but it's a spendy one at $289 at Amazon and $363 at Walmart. Compare that to the nearly-as-good Costco battery at $180. (The Costco battery rated 5 points lower, and CR says 3 points is statistically insignificant.)

What brand did you use?
Slightly off topic but I bought one for my Corvette recently so I was just curious.

Maybe it was longer ago than I recall, but I do recall you saying you were faitly happy with your Lithium battery. Regardless, good to hear this update.
