I’ve had this happening for a year or so for several iPhone and bronco sync updates.

I always reboot my phone as I’m heading out to the vehicle, and reboot sync (by pushing in volume and fast forward buttons until reboot) before connecting if it’s been a couple days since last reboot. Fresh reboots seems to make everything work better.

This whole system is unstable parked or moving. I have random issues where the library on my phone never loads, or Pandora, or only a few song in my library. I even have issues with Bluetooth. The other day the entire screen was black except when using the dials for the air or turning off the auto start.

The CarPlay issues also happened with a new Kenwood in my old Explorer. So, yeah I think itʼs an Apple thing (since they forced me to get a new phone with the Kenwood because the software didn’t support my old original iPod from 2005🤬). CarPlay was much more comprehensive on the KENWOOD though and had many more apps, the passenger could watch videos.

Only a partial list in my Bronco as well. Same with my other vehicles. Has to be some sort of Carplay issue or feature.

Boils down to no longer a great way to listen to what you want when you want. I miss CD changers.

CarPlay absolutely shows reduced size lists when the vehicle is moving. Then again hitting the button on the steering wheel and asking Siri to play what you want is working really well for me.

It’s been said already but I don’t know if some posters are reading the entire thread before posting.
The partial list while the truck is moving is intentional. They don’t want you scrolling down a long list of songs/artist while driving. At that point you have to use the voice features.

Had no idea this is how it worked at times until I started this thread. Will give it a try.

it's definitely a FORD implementation thing.
totally different behavior in both of my VW's when using exactly the same iDevices.

(full list access, selection of artist or song by first letter..., etc
which aren't available in FORD SYNC)

FORD's version is definitely more locked down.
it drives me batty that i have to stop when the end of the playlist is hit in order to select a new artist or playlist.

although, in the bronco, this can be overcome by manipulating the iPhone directly (via SIRI or touch screen)
