I did not need to drill. I removed the bolt on the forward left side of the transmission tunnel and used it to go through the bracket and the spacer. The nylon spacer is 1/4" thick.
Thank you for that!! I have been going crazy trying to install the M2M bracket and after 6 hours gave up!

I assume this is an automatic? I tried to mount one in my manual, does not look like I have the same amount of space.

How would you do an upfitter that wasn’t #1 or #2? I want to use #6 but I’m unclear on the right or best way to do it. Couldn’t find a clear amp spec for the MXT575 but if it’s got peak 50W output, I’m wagering it has potential to consume a bit more than that, with the handset back lighting, the USB-C charger etc. if it was just 50W, that’d put it at around 4A, right?

but if it’s more, and without clear spec from Midland, I’m seeing people claim as high as 10a online —- that exceeds #6 rating.

how are you guys doing the power wiring with a switch?

Down in the questions section here, an answer states 10A:

https://midlandusa.com/products/mxta53-12v-power-cord-mxt500#:~:text=The max power draw is 10 AMPs for the MXT575.

Would you use a relay for this, and it not create signal noise?
I found more info on their FAQs deeper into the website: https://support.midlandusa.com/hc/en-us/articles/23395602950167-Mobile-Radios-FAQs

Why are you having trouble?
Hopefully in the last 6 months they have got it mounted

I too couldn't mount the 575 as shown in the posts here, my Bronco has ducting for the rear which limits space under the console- but I did manage to mount it there.

I posted details here: Link

I reached out to midland and asked my open question about parasitic draw if you turn it off and remove handheld, and they came back with:

Current draw if the microphone is removed is .05 mA

so now I’m planning to go straight to the battery

I tried everyway possible way/angle and could not get it into the space to screw it down. Went with under console and it took 30 min to install.

Ford Bronco MXT575 Under Center Counsel Install? IMG_5102

The MTM bracket is under my radio, it wouldn't fit as shown in previous posts due the the HVAC Ducts on boths side of the center console.

Yes, it definitely a counter-intuitive mount, but that's just the way it has to be. But once you find the right spot it goes right in.

The challenge is that the pictures of the install are upside down so you have to get re-oriented.
