Comfort is about suspension design, Regardless of Body structure... NVH is harder with BoF in the sense of creaks and groans from separate structures, but not that difficult to overcome.

I think there is a market for a manly, boxy Lincoln.


Make it capable enough (this isn't a rock crawler), fixed roof but look like it could take a bullet.

I think if you make price close enough to the Wildtrak it could sell.

Bunch of old men yelling at the sky on this forum and almost no one watched the video. Lincoln should absolutely build this. The luxury off roader segment is hot right now, Lincoln needs a halo product bad, and the Bronco is a good platform to build it off of. A fixed roof alone would add a ton of luxury to it and stop a lot of pearl clutching from Bronco owners. G Wagons are huge money. Build it right and it could easily sell for over $100k.

It would never happen… but if Lincoln could model a Bronco to be similar to a Defender (speaking in terms of luxury, material quality), I could see some interest in that.

the blackwood was a cool truck - but it was rife with quality issues that kept it from elevating to a premium feel. Also not sure people were ready / wanting a truck like that.....but today it's not hard to get to 100k for a fancy pickup. Maybe a fancy bronco mall crawler that can get after it on the trails when called upon might work. OF course the pricing is a big piece of the puzzle, as is what does the interior look like? What materials are used to give the fancy vibe but still maintains a level of practicality?

Yeah, Ineos Grenadier shows a BoF SUV even with solid axles front and rear like a classic Defender 110 can attract luxury buyers. But it drives like crap with recirculating ball steering. Thatā€˜s gotta go, but the Grenadier would be awesome as an off-road focused 2Dr like the classic Defender 90.


A Lincoln version of the Bronco could fall somewhere between the modern Land Rover Defender (which I think over-emphasizes luxury features and on-road manners) and the Ineos Grenadier. But Lincoln would definitely need to ditch the Bronco’s removable top and engineer a fixed top structure for NVH, and that is a huge investment that I can’t see happening,
