Latest FordPass App Update

Maybe the common denominator is having the OEM tow package installed AFTER taking ownership of the vehicle and not from factory? I have a ‘23 and got the OEM tow package installed about 4 months into ownership and had to take it to a Ford dealer to ‘activate’ the feature via their FDRS system. Everything works as it should, but like many others, I do not see the ‘trailer light check’ feature on v5.8.2 of the Ford Pass app. I am running an iPhone 11 Pro with iOS 18.0.1. I will update to the latest iOS and see if that changes anything. If it does, I will report back.

True. I forgot about that on newer models. Interesting to say the least. For what it’s worth, I just updated my iPhone to iOS 18.1.1 and it made no difference on the Ford app. Still no trailer light check. Maybe it will magically appear one of these days. Or not 🫠

I tried the Trailer Light Check in the Sync console once I got my brake controller and trailer. Just gives me an error and says take it to a dealer. I'm sure the dealer will get right on that if I brought it in.
Wonder if anyone else's works from the console?

I checked mine out of curiosity and it’s correct. I find it really strange that the same version of the same app can behave so erratically across different devices.

i guess you ford pass participants haven't wondered why they were wiling to pay you to install the app? I was offered a mere $50.00 for each of the 2 new cars i purchased. They [Ford] are gathering/gelling your data to the highest bidder including real time telemetry to your insurance company on your driving habits. Why would you vomit your personal info to the highest bidder just to unlock your car from the phone? i just dont understand...............

i did not have the Trailer Light Check feature or ability to add widgets either. I deleted/removed the app from my phone and reinstalled it from the App Store and it immediately enabled the Trailer Light Check feature and widgets. See if this works for yall.

Tried removing the app & downloading again from App Store... no change; no TLC. Was able to add widgets before as well... just no TLC. FordPass v5.8.2 on iPhone 14 Pro running iOS 18.1.1
Even logged out/in on app...

Main screen just shows Connected Services, Location, Scheduled Remote Status & Settings.

I've had the tow package from day one.
