I’ve done a few forscan changes and had success but I get an error when trying to add Baja mode. When I add the 2 the update fails and says”Gain security access failed- security key is wrong”. Has anyone seen this or got past this?

Thanks!

Did you have any success with this? I'd like to add Baja to my BD too. Are there any warranty issues with jailbreaking the system like this?

What exactly does baja mode change when you add it? Seems pointless to me without the addes suspension parts.

Only the Bronco Raptor has electronic suspension. (and exhaust)
All Broncos have 3 mode steering, electronic throttle, and electronic auto transmission (except manual trans equipped, obviously).

GOAT modes change all those. They can also effect other settings, not directly related to driving dynamic, e.g. traction/stability control, lockers, sway bar disconnect.

In particular, Baja mode is the most aggressive; analogous to a race or track mode in a sports car. Heavy/Sport steering, fast throttle tip in, and maintains 4000+ rpm just cruising. 4WD is default, but 2WD is selectable.

I have a 2.3 auto black diamond. I leave it in sport 95% of the time. I guess my question is would it really make a difference or even be noticeable if so?

I have a '21 2.7 Badlands Sasquatch. I enabled the missing Sport mode and use it often.

Baja is very different from Sport. I commute in Sport, drive downtown in Sport, use it often.

In Baja mode, crusing leisurely downtown at 25mph, the engine is spinning at 4k rpm. It's a bit obnoxious and makes me a little self consious if there are pedestrians around.

Is it worthwhile to enable? If you like to drive fast, yes. It turns forest service roads into rally stages. It's the quickest way to get your license revoked, crash, or both.
On second thought, if you like to drive fast, maybe it should be disabled...

Yes, you won't use baja on the road unless you want people yelling at you to shift.

Dirt road, hammer down.

In my experience that error code is caused by not having the latest version of Forscan, and updating will take care of it.

So you can add Baja mode to a BD with the 2.3?
