Internal oil belt a future problem on a Bronco ?

Completely different engine than the bronco has.
Considering the Bronco doesn't use a timing belt, I'd say it's pretty irrelevant.
Even for the oil pump belt issues on the 1.0 ecoboosts, the belt wasn't the cause of the failures, it was a faulty tensioner design.

We've seen one bronco oil pump belt failure, and it was on a 22MY after making it 250K miles.

How could it not? it's the same principal and the evidence seems to be clear. It especially bothers me that it could be dropping chunks into the oil beforehand.....
I've have several issues related to bad design already that were not part of any recall and should be, including rear engine seal (apparently common on ecoboost engines) and corroded coil packs to name a few.
A belt change was not designed into the engine to be easy maintenence, this procedure will be expensive. Changing the maintenance schedule just pushes the burden of fixing a bad idea that saved ford a buck back on us.....

Today’s manufacturers engineer it to be most profitable and in Fords case, last somewhere between 3yr/36k most people’s typical average trade in date.

Not terribly worried I do feel someone will come up with a chain and sprocket replacement possibly? One can hope but if not I'm putting money aside for a v8 swap down the road

Valvoline ran two Ford Explorers with 2.3L engines for 500,000 miles to compare their conventional oil and synthetic oil. The timing chains of both engines lasted the full 500,000 miles.
