Infotainment 8" to 12" upgrade completed.

My friend had the Infotainment package installed on her ‘22 black diamond and with just that kit there is no way to add a camera. She would have had to install something like the Naviks. The 12” screen is an amazing upgrade though. Her CarPlay is more stable than my ‘24 bronco. Go figure.

I’m thinking of just getting the new Wolfbox with 3 cameras instead of the naviks.

I actually did the 8” to 12” swap with the Naviks unit about 6 months ago so now I have the 12” screen with a front camera on my 2021 Big Bend. It’s expensive and time consuming but very much worth it in my opinion.

While moving at speed in some non-Offroad mode? No one seems to know. Even the CAN Opener guys who enable everything else in motion specifically disclaim this mod.

How do you turn your front camera on? Can you drive at trail riding speeds with it on?

We drove an OBX with the camera at the Moab Offroadeo and it was incredibly helpful to see the terrain. I’m thinking of getting one for my big bend.

The Naviks unit allows you to drive with the front camera on all the time if you want to. It also has a phone interface that allows you to watch all of the streaming services on your screen not that I would recommend doing so while driving. It’s all activated by the oem menu button on the steering wheel. You hold it for 2 seconds and it goes from feature to feature. I think it allows you to add up to 5 cameras but I only installed one up front in the winch plate. Yeah it's a bit pricey but considering you also get a new dash with the kit, it's not bad.. I got 10% off so I paid $2250 and another bonus is they do not charge sales tax...

I also had an Alpine Restyle upgrade in my Jeep JK (I bet we had the same unit) and I think it was like $2,000 or so and that was just for the unit and wiring harnesses. I think it also came with a small module box that was a PIA to update.

How or where did you get the discount code? If I could get it down to near your $2250 I might pull the trigger.

I haven't given up on this. I already spoke to the GSM of the dealer I work for. As soon as we get another Bronco traded in to us that has 360 cams, He's going to let me take it home over the weekend to play with it.

I went to a 12 inch screen too.I sold my 22 base bronco sas for 42k and got a 2025 base sas for45k..3k and raptor gauges..

I have the kit sitting in my cart with the 10% veteran discount code and free shipping sitting at just under $2400 plus tax but I am just not sure if I want to drop that much on it. They will buy back some of the old components for ~$275 as well... but I just don't know if that is worth that much... not saying the product isn't quality just for the end use for me...

Still a lot of cheddar to pay vs getting it when it's built, but considering people are asking 4-5k (or more) for a sub 1k build option for the MIC top, I guess it's not that bad

I got a base squatch in 2022, I would have had to go up to OBX with high package (12k more) to get a 12 inch screen. The 8” is alright but I definitely crave that 12” screen, especially since it’s standard now.

Has anyone tried this or heard of this kit? $1000 I can live with. But I don’t think it comes with programming.

i dont see an APIM in that one and i do believe you'll need to purchase one of those as well. the infotainment kit is complete,
