I bought some upper control arms from a forum member on here and they didn’t include the supplied nuts for the icon tubular UCA delta joint. The nut that should have been supplied was a flanged nylock, but I can’t get one anywhere for another week. Do you think a washer and a regular nylock nut would work just to get the vehicle home from the shop (25 miles) to park until the nuts I had to order arrive?? I also have a non nylock flange nut in the size but am worried it’ll loosen. HELP!

I'm sure the regular nylock nut and a washer will work perfectly fine.

I wanted to go off-road, but didn’t want to push that either due to this situation. I wasn’t sure if washer /nylock would be as secure. Thank you for encouragement lol!

Preferably a hardened washer. Re-torque it after a few miles.
You might be surprised what ACE hardware keeps in stock.

I checked ace, Home Depot, Lowe’s, Tractor supply, and etc for the nylock flange nut without luck. But will use them for hardened steel washers and regular nylock until I get the proper hardware. Thanks!

Worse come to worst, use lock tite on a conventional flanged nut.

Was debating this or nylock and washer being more secure. So far consensus says nylock and washer

Nylock generally will be - the first time. But you can’t re-use them reliably. Same thing with split ring lock washers. Loctite, however, you can reapply each time and expect consistent results, so long as you use the correct type on clean threads.

That’s why a lot of the current Bronco hardware is “single use only” - they don’t want to be liable for some mechanic not using loctite correctly

You can definitely use both. Use blue not red though. There’s even plenty of room to add a jam nut.
