Does anybody have pictures of the ICON upper control arms equipped with the delta joint pro uniball at full stuff/droop? Icon doesn’t have anything and I’m not having any success finding anything on the internet. Their 90 degree total misalignment claim would get us our last 1.5” of travel we’re currently limited to by 1” uniballs.

I wonder why just about every UCA manufacturer welds or CNC's the arms in-line with the ball joint cup, except Rough Country...their arms are cast at an angle to the cup. I'm pretty sure the ICON Deltajoint Pro still gives more angle, but I would imagine if the uniball arms were welded or CNC'd at an angle to the cup, there would be slightly more droop available? Hope someone can show you pics of the deltajoint pro at full droop...I plan to get the tubular set soon myself.

We’re actually good at full droop, have it limited about a half inch. What we need is more stuff. Was looking into doing heims in place of the ball joint once we swap over to steel portals, but if we could stay conventional that would be preferred

I see it in your pic now 🤦‍♂️ lol...having a UCA where the arms are at an angle to the cup would make full stuff worse then. Looking forward to seeing if the Deltajoint Pro arms will give you the extra angle you need.

Hard to make a $1500 commitment when I can’t find solid information showing what it actually looks like under full stuff. I have no reason to doubt their misalignment claims, but when the stock length control arms using the factory axles and coilover mounts come nowhere close to the travel we’re getting after all our custom work, why go through all that work to develop something with such high misalignment? Again - I have no reason to doubt their claims, but some companies are a bit…enthusiastic…with their claims. Especially when nobody is really going to test the limits.

not many are testing the UCA ball joint angle limits in jounce. You have some extra real estate available due to the portals, and moving the shock tower north some with the 8” travel shocks you are pushing that angle. It is difficult to get the stock SAS angle below 75 deg, especially with the big SAS bump stops. You are pushing 60 degrees all day long.

Also very curious about the icon delta joint claim. Very few will ever test this out in jounce, unless they move shock towers and do a bunch of fender work.

uCA ball joint angles plotted.

Edit. I seem to recall maybe @BigMeatsBronco tried out the icon delta joint UCAs?? I suspect most of the UCAs are just bling and not much of an improvement wrt ball joint angles. Just allowing some improved camber and caster adjustments.

Come on...I know there has to be a good number of people on here with the Icon Deltajoint Pro UCAs on this forum. No one can post a pic of theirs for the OP? Need someone to volunteer to shitpost in this thread to generate some engagement lol.

Would this suffice for full droop? 😂.

Could try a JBA high caster control arms. I like mine and they claim 90 degrees and my tires stay more planted on the trail. Steering returns to center quickly on the rocks with these high caster arms!
