2022 7spd base, no mods. Bombing around SW Chicago suburbs, a lot of the time on I-55 and the moon like surface of I-80 through the Joliet area. If clear, I'll cruise mid-upper 70 mph. This tank is one of the best, but in summer I'm averaging a bit over 25 mpg per the computer. Note for this tank the DTE and number of miles driven-209 and 229.5. I only run sport mode, 93 octane, though 87 doesn't seem to make much difference. I do not do a lot of very short trips, trying to combine trips. I am surprised how much mileage improved in the warmer months. Only option was the engine block heater.

I get overall about 18-20 but the footfeed makes the difference the power of the turbo affects the mileage.
I have 2 door 2.3 automatic with Sasquatch.

Another thread on here where everyone is saying 20+ in SAS Broncos.... I still don't buy it.

Last tank, literally drove with the lightest foot possible, barely spooled the turbo, never went over 65mph. cruise control at speed limit almost every single time.... braking really early.

I got the dash to say 17.1 avg for the tank before the fill up. Fuelly says 15.1 actual.

Wildtrak... 2.7... stock.

Doctor all the pictures you want.... I don't believe any of you.
Curb weight of your 4-door Wildtrak is reportedly 4,935 Lbs. Compared to my 2-door base coming in at a more svelte 4,286. That means every time you drive, you start in the hole lugging around an extra 650 or so pounds. There is a performance cost to that weight. Also you have a bit deeper diff gears, heavier wheels (mass to get rotating) and the V6.

😂 thanks. But apparently I should have been more specific. Clearly a 2 door Mail Truck will be lighter than my 4 door Bronco and that would affect the MPG.

I’m more referring to the guys in every thread like this posting pics if their dash showing 20+ in a BL or OBX 4 door SAS.

It annoys me sure, that I get such bad gas mileage… but in reality I’m just bitching/trolling just cause I can… I drive about 4 miles round trip each day…

My bronco is a badlands 2.3L w/ manual, I'm not getting anywhere near 20mpg and don't really care. When I want something fuel efficient to drive, I take out my Mustang GT (lol)

Not sure how you're driving but with my 4 door BD, 2.3L, 10 speed on SAS coils and 34" Cooper AT3 XLTs; I'm getting 17-18 city and 21-25 highway. I range from 35-60 mph in the city and 70-75 mph on the highway, usually.

Yeah, there's a lot that goes into the weather. I'm in the suburbs of Chicago also, and I stay between 21-22 MPG in the warmer months and 18-19 MPG in the winter. I'm running a 4Door 2.3L Big Bend with stock tires.

Switch to SPORT mode. Holding gears longer uses less boost and prevents lugging.
Haven't seen that in the average mileage the car calculates although I haven't used it much. Seems like holding gears longer would keep you at higher RPMS longer and be less efficient... ECO mode also makes a difference in my wife's 1.5L turbo Honda CRV of around 2-3 mpg. On the Bronco, it's around 1-2 mpg...

It's not a mystery really. Stop & go and anything above 65mph will tank efficiency. The sweet spot is 45-55mph. In my BD Sas I can hold 21mpg in that range, but I average 19.5 overall. Most of my commute is country roads with no traffic and cruising around 55mph.

If the OP is saying they're within those ranges and something still is off, there could be something worth looking into.

I have a base model 4 door. Everyone is saying they get 21 MPG? Could there be a mechanical reason?
I have a 2021 2dr MT and I get 17-18 mpg. I got 21 when It was new. But that faded quickly.

Have you checked to see if the defroster is on? When the defroster is running - the AC unit is operating and it will suck down MPG's

I drive 40 minutes in AM to work and 1 hr 20 minutes home. They call it an expressway but I debate that. That includes hills and plenty of traffic. The best I got was traveling to Florida and I got 17.3 all Highway.

The change in tire size from what it came with is throwing the computer off. There is a chance the first owner had the computer adjusted for the bigger tires they put on but I would guess not.

2.7 OBX Advanced. 20-22 on my daily commute in ECO mode (cuz do I really need 330hp to go 30-40 mph in commute traffic??). of course I do. :). It certainly drops down to that 18 range during Sport Mode Impunity Days though :)
