  1. Engine block heater recall (2021-2024 Bronco)

Apparently, it can start a fire, so Ford doesn't want anyone to mess with them at all.
  2. Engine block heater recall (2021-2024 Bronco)

I have a 22 7MT. Brought it in for the engine block heater recall. The parts are not available, so they "disabled" the block heater until they figure it out. This repair is not rocket science. The block heaters are currently available on about all Ford vehicles. When it was working I appreciated...
  3. Recent Resale Value

I ordered a base 2 door/ 7 spd in 2021. Got kicked to the 2022 production year and took delivery in March, 2022. Have 28,500 miles. No accidents. Paid 33,00 OTD, including 8.75% sales tax. Carvana just offered me 32,000. Last year they offered me 38,000.
  4. Well...that didn't take long (cracked windshield)

I was quoted about $350 additional. However, one installer said the factory glass was on back order.
  5. Well...that didn't take long (cracked windshield)

I just got my windshield replaced due to the adhesion recall. 22,000 miles no issues. Two days after recall, I get a rock chip which is cracking across windshield. New windshield scheduled for $769 using non factory glass. BTW, the recall does not get you a new windshield, just removal, new...
  6. I have a 2023 2.3L 10 speed transmission and get 17.3 MPG?

2022 7spd base, no mods. Bombing around SW Chicago suburbs, a lot of the time on I-55 and the moon like surface of I-80 through the Joliet area. If clear, I'll cruise mid-upper 70 mph. This tank is one of the best, but in summer I'm averaging a bit over 25 mpg per the computer. Note for this...
  7. Can the stop-start be programmed to only work when up to temp?

You can switch to sport mode or turn the switch on the dash off.
  8. Ford's Performance ProCal Tune for the 2.3L (Experience and thoughts??)

I have a base 7sp manual and it comes with sport mode. Not sure which models do not have a sport mode.
  9. Why don’t you use sport mode on road?

I use sport all the time on my base 7 spd manual. No effect on fuel economy as far as I can tell. No downside.
  10. New Hardtop issue

I had a replacement top for my 2 door installed due to cracking. The top arrived without the headliner. Dealership ordered the headliner and later installed same. No problems!
  11. Mileage range after gas fill-up?

The 2-door has a smaller tank, about 16.9 gallons I believe. I generally get 21-24 mpg bombing around the Chicago suburbs with frequent treks on I-80. DTE usually 360-390 miles. 80 plus mph kills mileage. Base 2.3, 7 spd, no mods other than aftermarket muffler. 13,000 miles.
  12. Update: Cracking 2.0 MIC Hard Top Replaced Under Warranty

The roof on the right rear passenger side cracked on my 2-door base. I noticed the crack about 2 months ago, at around 8000 miles. Rear roof has never been off, never took the truck rock crawling, always garaged. Took it to my Ford dealer for an oil change and showed them the defect. They took...
  13. Base Model Bronco Thread

I should clarify. If you upshift normally the revs drop briefly until you release the clutch in the next higher gear. Then revs and speed increase to the pre-set speed. If you hold the clutch to the floor the cruise very quickly disengages completely.
  14. Base Model Bronco Thread

Random-I have a 7 spd base. The cruise control stays engaged when upshifting. If I have 60 mph selected and am in 4th gear, when I upshift to 5th then 6th the cruise briefly disengages when I put the clutch in then resumes the selected speed when the clutch is released in the higher gear. Nice...
  15. Not building boost

I have a 300 mile 7 MT base. First tank of premium. Hit 18.5 pounds boost briefly in 2nd gear. Get your truck back to the dealer.
  16. 02/28/22 Build Week Thread

I received my Bronco last Wednesday March 9. Today I received an e-mail from Ford indicating my truck was built and would be shipped shortly. Also got the picture from the assembly line!
  17. 02/28/22 Build Week Thread

I received my Bronco last night. 2/28 week build. I asked my salesman about the price protection from Ford as my initial order was February of 2021. My WS showed the $800 price increase 2021 to 2022. The dealer applied an $800 rebate on the final sales contract, so it worked out!
  18. 02/28/22 Build Week Thread

I did not receive a picture.
  19. 02/28/22 Build Week Thread

Mine just arrived in Plainfield, IL. Dealer called. No emails. I was a 3/5/22 build. Chat indicated my ETA was 3/13/22 (Sunday). So a bit ahead of schedule.
  20. 02/28/22 Build Week Thread

New order converted 10/8/21, build week 2/7/22 pushed to 2/28/22. Per the tracker, built 3/5. I chatted with Ford support on Sunday, she related the ETA to Plainfield, IL was 3/13/22. This morning the tracker shows in transit, so should arrive today or tomorrow. Keeping fingers crossed! Ordered...
