How common are cracking issues on latest hardtops?

2023 Raptor- my second top is less than 10 months old… still under warranty. These will not hold up over time

60,000 miles on my 23 WT hard top that lives outside all weather all seasons and goes off pavement with zero issue.
I bought another 23 hard top with zero issue. Not sure why others have issue. Just so it's known that all least some are 100% fine. Not sure if it matters; I hand wash / never use an automated car wash.

23 Wikdtrak 2 door here. 23,000 no cracks, no delamination so far. These tops are subpar, but they aren't 100% falling apart.

I cannot foretell the future, but so far so good.

Update for my '22 2-door. At 28,000 miles where it lives 100% outside, no issues so far. Hand wash only and no wax.

So it is now April of 2026, my '23 Raptor was new off the lot in March of 2024 (build date 12/23).

I had the third top installed January 28, 2026... And two days ago found this... Passenger side between the window and rear door.

This roof has been completely untouched since install almost exactly 3 months ago. No automatic car washes, no off-roading, nothing mounted to the top. The vehicle is now out side the bumper to bumper (38k+), but the top is covered under 12 month replacement parts warranty according to the dealer.

I have been eyeballing the E-Top and Armadillo... Off to Ford today to get their input.

I have on the current replacement i have on the Bronco now and asked again this week when I went in to discuss top number four. Same answer each time- the process the dealer has to follow doesn't have a way to make this happen. One suggestion I did have was to get the next new top, sell it localy/regionally and use the money to move to a different style top.

It's just one of Ford's dirty little secrets and they will never acknowledge the full scope for liability reasons.

I am trying to figure out my true options (Armadillo or Bestop E-top are high on the list)

That bestop e-top looks amazing with the different colored options too. I’ve been eyeing it with the idea of selling my MIC hardtop for 3k to make up for the cost

Well, my ‘25 has cracks on the rear around the windows on both sides, guess I will start figuring out which way I’ll go, then hopefully warranty swap and sell.

Ford has communicated to my dealer today that my 4 month old top does not carry a warranty.

Not that I violated any of their policies, that they replaced the first under original 36k mile bumper to bumper, the next top was under replacement parts warranty and now this new Ford top has no warranty???

They 'kindly' offered to pay 65% of replacement for another top... with me being out $2,500 plus install costs ($500+).

I plan on having a call with Ford later today.

Anyone have an idea or suggestion on how Lemon Laws work for a vehicle that I bought new in March '24 and has ~39,000 miles on??

If they are willing to sell you the colour matched painted hardtop for 65% off then I would go for it.

Otherwise it sounds you're getting hooped.
