I put this deflector on and like many have said it does keep bottom 60% of windshield cleaner from bugs but the wind noise created by it was more than I wanted to hear. Makes it sound like driving into 60 mph winds at only 35-40mph. I replaced it with the AVS brand with no lip, of course this defeated the purpose of trying to prevent rock chips on windshield but still protects the front of the hood.

Installed mine after a week and it really made a difference. The amount of bugs that hit the windshield was insane. The aeroskin ii makes a big difference

Not sure exactly how much it helps with rocks, but I haven't had any rock chips of note in more than 18 months of ownership

UPDATE: OEM INSTALLED DEFLECTOR UPDATE
- 3 windshields for the first 38K Miles.
- Installed the hood deflector at 38K Miles
- Now 125K Miles and have not had a crack since.

Some rock dings but nothing fatal.
Drive to extreme locations with high highway miles in between.
I am not sure if it is a magic bullet, but I do firmly believe it disrupts rock and debris airflow enough to deliver a glancing blow, rather than a windshield terminating impact

I put one on my OBX when I bought it new last October. To date I have no chips in my windshield.
