Anyone else out there make a dolly to move your loose top around?
I didn't want to spend a ton on one of the metal stands... so, I made this one out of the free off-cuts at Lowe's (3/4" plywood) and some old casters. It let's me move the top around the garage easily by myself.

I had it hanging on the wall to store it, and it looked unfinished. My wife said it looked like a big picture frame and painted it like this for me.

Anyway, just wondering what others have come up with, in case I need to borrow some ideas.
I would hope not, but these tops seem to be so susceptible to damage, I'd be apprehensive about buying one.Does something like this warp the top? I realize they tend to be overpriced

Same.Wow - you guys are pretty enterprising. I just bought 2 dollies from Harbor Freight and rested 1/2 the top on each. EZPZ
damage... to the dolly itslef?I would hope not, but these tops seem to be so susceptible to damage, I'd be apprehensive about buying one.
No, damage to the top. I feel like the top has some flex to it, I'd be scared of breaking something standing it up that way.damage... to the dolly itslef?
A bit off topic but couldn't help noticing the R11S in the not so common blue livery. Very nice.Anyone else out there make a dolly to move your loose top around?

Thanks, man. I just found it few months ago.A bit off topic but couldn't help noticing the R11S in the not so common blue livery. Very nice.
Same for me (remove the roof rack to go topless). I'm trying to work out a solution wherein I can remove the TrailRax and the hardtop as a unit with my ceiling mounted hardtop hoist. Those 4 nuts on the front of the TrailRax (behind the wind deflector) are the difficult / tedious part. That looks really neat.
Part of me wants to remove my trailrax so that I can remove my top from time to time. Camping season starts in three weeks though, so it would go right back on.
Very nice! The functionality plus the artistic flair combine for a great solution. Unfortunately, my garage floor space is at a premium so I've had to go with a ceiling mounted hoist and storage approach.Anyone else out there make a dolly to move your loose top around?
