So driving down the road today randomly and my radio went black, I should I say the screen. Usb ports have no power, I have tried disconnecting the battery for 10 minutes, and holding the power button and right check button for 10 seconds to reset the radio

No luck, I think I'm out of warranty. I have 40,000 mi.

Any ideas? And is anyone run across this problem before

If the USB ports have no power I would suspect a fuse has blown.

I had this same thing happen to me last week. I’m at 36,600 miles. I’ve tried various tricks to get the screen to work but it still doesn’t.
Unfortunately I can’t get an appointment at my dealer until early January.

Check for any blown fuses.

If that's not the culprit, I'm sorry to say you may have the same fate that I had with my old Audi - a fried computer module that controls the radio, screen, etc. I Hope that's not the case, mine was $4,000 to replace on the Audi.

If your fuses are all intact, a dealer will be the only way to get a full diagnosis.

I am having the same issue with my 2021 Badlands with 40,000 miles. The screen just goes black sometimes and then will come back. If a fuse were blown it would not come back on. I am getting the notice "Remote Features disabled to preserve battery" error in my phone app more often lately too. Last time that happened the dealer replaced the battery. I wonder if the black screen could be related to a battery going bad (again).

It was the APIM, part was $850ish

Had a friend that's a tech at Ford dealer replaced it for $200 on the side.

Has to be programmed

Mine did the same thing. Someone put an aftermarket screen in one of theirs. I think that eliminates the apim. Might not be a bad option if you want a better setup than factory

I’ve been dealing with this for almost 2 years on my ‘23 Black Diamond. Fortunately, all under warranty. They’ve replaced the APIM twice but still not working. Screen is black, radio not working, usb power ports go dark. Right now they do not know what to do!! It’s very frustrating and getting ready to sell the vehicle back to Ford, as much as I HATE to do that. I love my Bronco.

Mine went in yesterday with the same problem. I didn’t drive it for two days because it has 35,948 miles on it so it’s still under warranty. They’re saying it’s the APIM. This is the first vehicle I bought an extended warranty for because cars today are rolling computers.

I saw someone do an aftermarket install, were they retained all the factory controls and apps. I wish I could find the post, I think it was on one of the Facebook groups.. if mine goes out again I'm going to go that direction
