Has anyone found a setup to mount a handheld Mainland? I want to be able to mount the radio/mic for when I need get but be able to break it down easily after rides. I’m thinking about a Molle sunvisor and just clipping it up.

I keep mine mounted because I like listening to NOAA weather and local emergency transmissions - but, I used some Tackform arms and a custom made radio holder (but, you can find generic versions) as well as the Bulletpoint mic holder. This is all mounted on the Archetype SLAP. But, if just mounting one item - the single threaded mount point will work for ya.

You could use an overhead mole panel shelf that can also be used for many other things.

Zip tie a clip/cradle to the grab handle?

That is how I have my mic mounted when I have it hooked up. I just leave the holder zipped because it doesn't affect anything and is hardly even noticeable.

This is just a piece of ABS plastic that we used a hair dryer to soften and bend. It is very secure yet very fast to use. Best of all it was cheap to make. Two longer bolts/screws replaced the hand rail screws and zip tie helps make it more ridged. The tape is to better fit my radio so it does not rattle at all.

From this position we can run an external antenna and add a handheld mic if so desired.

I use the cheapest and easiest mount: my cupholder.

I used a bracket/mount from something or other, drilled holes, used some picatinny scope mounts and Velcro to fasten mine to my BYOD rail. Works great, out of the way, and you can hear it fine, reach up and key in when needed.
Or remove for actual handheld use.

Does this pop on and off pretty easily? It looks like a good solution for me but I wouldn’t want it on all the time.
No, the mount's designed to stay mounted. Not sure why you'd need it to be a temporary fitment as it doesn't impede legroom for the passenger but there's a use case for everything. I don't leave my radio clipped to it all the time, though.

I know I’m way late to the party (and I’m switching to a permanent midland mxt575), but for people looking for a solution here, I’ve been using a Rocky Talkie 5 watt GMRS radio, with hand mic, extended antenna (there’s a longer whip antenna now, link below), and mount off of my grab handle using a ball, hand mic hanging from tacform mount clipped by hero switches

Big fan of the rugged (FRS) and 5W (gmrs) radios for backpacking and backcountry camping with my family. All the kids have one in their backpacks with handset coming out by their straps over their shoulder.

Big fan of the tidy look of the tackform mount too, very clean.

This is what I use now:

Mob Armor Car Mount Kit https://a.co/d/jl8yBwb

It sticks to any metal and hasn’t fallen off even in very bumpy terrain like creek beds.

+ however long an arm you want

or

You can also email Erica or Nick to customize. I took off my center grab handle and replaced it with an OEM base plate.
I installed a Tackform dovetail flange (https://www.tackform.com/products/music-stand-to-flange-adapter) and arm (https://www.tackform.com/products/black-20-series-socket-with-anth-theft-knob) in place of one of the screws and mount my mic there when I use it. I used this with a portable a while but have since installed a permanent radio and the mic still attaches.

I've got a Midland GXT67 Pro handheld GMRS and using a RAM X-mount to hold it. However I would like to use the DC charger and mount the cradle to hold it instead (see pic below), but the only DC port is in the center console and I would prefer to leave that open for other uses, plus don't really want the cord running out across the center shift area. Ideally I would like to plug it in under the dash somewhere. Has anyone installed an additional 12V DC port into/under the dash? If so pics and wiring info would be awesome.
