It sounds like you have a garage similar to mine. The fact is that it barely qualifies as a garage. My house is over 100 years old and back then cars were quite a bit smaller, and therefore the garage they were in. The Bronco barely fits in both width and length wise with less than 1ā...
Although I chose to go with a smaller footprint winch, I had considered the HF Badlands. If you want to see what it is capable of watch the Mattās Off Road recovery channel on YouTube. He has 6 of them on his recovery rig and beats the hell out of them and they just keep going.
And Therein lies the problem with a balls-out kinetic pull.
The video on this āfailureā clearly shows it was a crazy kinetic pull and there are plenty of YouTube videos that end with similar results on all kinds of vehicles when brute force and ignorance is used in kinetic pulls.
Everything...
I do plan my trips to ensure I never get in a circumstance where I need to use the fuel in the rotopsx, but I am also a believer in Murpyās law, #312: the worst that can happen will.
That aside, I also carry it for the knuckleheads, (some of which are good friends), I run into on the trail that...
Hmm...too bad it's white. If it were another color I'd be in.
Yeah...right. The Chance Brothers are back in town.....Fat Chance, Slim Chance, and No Chance.
For $500k that thing had better cook and be good in the sack. I'll leave it to another sucker....err, buyer to piss away $500k.
Did you ever find your modular bumper? I just installed a third party bumper and have a modular bumper with the holes for the sensors for a reasonable price. It's clearly too heavy to ship and I live in Northern Illinois.
My recommendation would be to slip a thin piece of aluminum or steel in the space between the door and fender and then use it to guide the door behind the fender as you open the door. That should minimize any further damage and alllow you to open the door. You can get small pieces of sheet...
When the batteries go bad in your EV and it becomes the equivalent of a throw away soda can because you canāt afford the replacements then you might consider alternatives.
Do some reading on the topicā¦.BMW, Toyota, Honda, and yes, even Ford have developments underway for hydrogen alternatives...
Not so fast..... Yes there are challenges but more automakers are developing Hydrogen based autos and its only a matter of time before this becomes a viable alternative to traditional ICE and EV powered vehicles.
Following is one example article but there are plenty more where that comes from...
I worked in the computer industry for 40 years and itās amazing how many issues can be resolved by either the āthree finger saluteā, (ctrl-alt-del), or by pulling the plug for 30 seconds. We need the equivalent on our Broncos.
ā¦..and weāre worried about AI taking over societyā¦ā¦. Just kick...
I agree. āLoudā is a relative term. If you are buying a 4wd vehicle with a removable top and meaty tires and are expecting the quiet interior of a luxury vehicle, well then, you are setting yourself up for disappointment.
In relative terms for the class of vehicle, I think the Bronco is...
š Exactly what I was thinking although he used better adjectives. My kind of guy!
As for anyone who gets wrapped up in their undershorts by someone who parks this way, I say Fākāem if they canāt take a joke.
Itās a pretty sweet, (and amazingly clear) handheld radio. I too am interested in their dash mount but hadnāt seen a picture of it before now. (Is that it in the picture you posted?).
I too am going to connect a vehicle mounted antenna but not until it gets a bit warmer to work outside. š
I prefer using a portable handheld and made a custom mount that attaches to the picatinny rail. This particular portable GMRS radio can be charged off the built in USB port, and also has a handheld mic for convenient use while driving. As far a mounting, you just need to get creative to make...
