This is my favorite haha. But if you are 100% against doing wiring. The Rad Designs plugs straight in to the factory location. It doesn’t have reverse lights or strobe though and you still have to wire the chase light wire. Basically any setup will require some amount of wiring.
Thank you! I'm not opposed to some wiring. This just kind of made me go a little cross eyed!🤪

I just dropped an install video on YouTube of this unit. Like Caleb said, there are multiple options to do your wiring. I chose the more plug and play route and routed it through the rear vents. Blanco Bronco Adventures will be doing an install as well, so you’ll have multiple references for wiring it.

@popo_patty I fully expect a video of how the light bar doesn't wiggle in the wind.

To bad Blanco sold out. Off to watch your install.

My thoughts:
  • Looks very thorough
  • Not parting with $700 for this, sorry, though I'd entertain some conversation on why you think its worth that much.
  • Still hunting for a solution that mounts to a roof rack crossbar instead, as I strap a shelf to my spare tire that 100% blocks this space rendering the device useless.

Video Coming! Why don’t you just come over and look at it too.

Here is it with me shaking it. Best I got until I hit the local OHV track.

100% and that’s why the market is great. There are two other solutions available for a 3rd Brake light configuration for folks with different strokes. My friend has the Rad Designs and I like that for a cheap option. I’ll be making a comparison soon.
A lot of light companies make rear lightbar Chase lights. Baja Designs are expensive but almost every company has an offering.

Seems there would be many different light bar options you could use for this?

Not much of a priority for me to solve. I relocated my Diode Dynamics reverse/chase light solution from the spare lugs to the last crossbar on my TrailRax, it looks pretty damn good, but it could be brighter. Was mostly just hoping to lazily come across an easy button for my use case.

nice install first mod I did was remove the brake light out of my rear view mirror :) Since I have a HB plate, going to just mount the new bracket they have :)

If you’re for roof rack cross bar ideas, I did a video on my old setup with the trail rax rack with a lightbar. These units have a lot of range in height adjustment, so you might be able to clear the basket when needed.

TLDR…
You know it’s gonna be long winded when it starts with, “The earth cooled, there were dinosaurs…” and you were just looking for pictures.

I have the Turn Offroad light.
I really like the billet housing & the fact that you can drop Baja S2s in later.
I also like the overall look better than this one.
I very much dislike how they botched the mounting points & it's been WEEKS since I was told they were sending an adapter (I'm still rolling on 2 bolts holding it on) with no communication from them.
I'm not a super huge fan of their wiring, but I'm going to clean it a bit & put some kind of cover over the wires at the top.
And I ordered a simple strobe box to try some things with & see if I can't get one of the lights in each yellow pod to strobe while the other stays constant.
Also, the yellow isn't yellow enough. I added a layer of tint to make them more yellow lol.

Honestly, this looks a bit pricey for how it actually looks. Not a fan.
