Curious as to what people prefer. I've always preferred a glossy tire, but now i think it doesn't really make sense to do with these meaty 35's.

If you wheel, you are lubricating the sidewall. The cleats on the side will slip. So no, no lubricating the grippy parts.

I like clean, with a natural satin finish. I use a product called No Touch tire care, leaves a nice clean look, just spray on your dirty tires & enjoy. 🤠

Depends on the vehicle and tire.

Consistent satin looks good on truck/suv tires
Satin to semi-glossy on a muscle or sports car looks great.
The ultra-glossy "mirror finish" look is not my thing

What I do not like is a gross, faded, stained-by-mud, dry-rotted look on any tire. Living in SC, there is red mud everywhere from clay. It's not uncommon to see a half-mile of red mud tire tracks every time someone leaves their mud-pit of a driveway after mowing their dirt, and that crap stains tires like you wouldn't believe.

FYI too much tire shine on the tires and it'll slop all over the plastic flares and stain them

I don't care, BUT this as a warning to NOT use Armor All tire dressing. A detailer I used to work with said it's pretty common knowledge that something in their formula actually causes deterioration.

It should be just like it came from the factory - glossy paint should be glossy, satin rubber and plastic should stay satin.

I've never been a fan of surface treatments and I like tire shine the least. Dry, or maybe mud-stained.

I don’t like the greasy look at all. I use Westley‘s bleach white to keep my white letters clean and it also cleans the black surfaces nicely without any greasy shine.

I always hated how tire dressing would sling out and make the black plastic trim look like it just took the money shot.
