The problem I have with active speed-control systems is that they would make passing on a two-lane highway impossible.... or deadly. Even when maneuvering on a multi-lane highway, trying to maneuver in hairy situations could be compromised. Sometimes you need just a brief burst of speed to avoid a problem or worse.

Step 1 - block cell signals so drivers will put down their D&^%$% cell phones. Around here seems that 3 out of 5 drivers are on their cell phones while driving, and I'm not talking about hands free use.

The manufacturers may try to force features on us. But the market will make the final decision. Unless there's a legal requirement, manufacturers will be hesitant to include a feature across their product line if a competitor isn't including it. They'll probably offer "Intelligent speed assistance" as an option for certain models to see how well it's accepted.

The easiest thing to improve safety is add a finger sensor required to start the vehicle. The sensor technology detects an X chromosome and places the vehicle into a “ special” driving mode.

Just so i know if I should block you or not, are you saying everyone is a bad driver or are you ignorantly saying all women are bad drivers?
